Where I've been

Folks, I've been pretty much off-line for the past couple months. I've also been disconnected from cable TV and other news media.
I've gotta tell ya, I haven't missed a damn thing.
But Wow! Have I read some great stuff! I've pretty much been spending all my spare time reading. I've also been getting to bed much earlier, getting up earlier, getting out earlier and getting much more done during the day.
Ya know, I'm becoming convinced that for people with addictive tendencies, the internet and cable TV are nothing more than another drug.
A toast:
Here's to positive action, healthy living and good thoughts for all of you.

Right wing extremist morons

Gingrich backs off 'racist' label for Sotomayor
By JULIE HIRSCHFELD DAVIS, Associated Press Writer Julie Hirschfeld Davis, Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON – Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said Wednesday he shouldn't have called Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor a racist, but said he was still concerned that she would bring bias to her decisions.

OK, this is too good to pass up. . .

So these morons, Rush Limpdick and Newt Gingershit called Ms. Sotomayor a "racist." In itself, a couple extremist right wingers calling a brilliant highly decorated latina jurist a racist is so absurd it's sorta funny. I mean, Limpdick compared her to David Duke. WTF? Surely everyone except the unmovable 25% can see what an idiotic act of desperation such rhetoric actually is. I mean, come on, extremists of the party that gets horribly low support from minority groups because of their anti-minority policies calling anyone "racist?!" You gotta be kiddin.

So how can we look upon this with anything but pity? These are desperate, pitiful human beings. They must be scared. They must feel a terrible amount of insecurity and possibly inferiority at this point.
Yes, I know how recreant and treasonous their past actions have been. And I know how their ignorance and blind greed brought our nation to the brink of collapse. And yes, I realize if they get another foot in the door (which they will) they'll do nothing but repeat their stupid ass bullshit.
But how should we react to those who are sick? Should we have pity? Should we feel sorrow? Should we hate them? Should we treat them like low life pieces of shit? I dunno. I'm contemplating these things.

I'm also stuck in the middle of Ohio taking care of my son who just had knee surgery and don't have much else to do.

What do you think?
