1/2 votes

Florida, Michigan delegates will get half-votes
By NEDRA PICKLER and BETH FOUHY, Associated Press Writers
WASHINGTON - Democratic Party leaders agreed Saturday to seat Michigan and Florida delegates with half-votes at this summer's convention with a compromise that left Barack Obama on the verge of the nomination but riled Hillary Rodham Clinton backers who threatened to fight to the August convention.

WTF?! Is this fucking grade school? Is this "Let's Make a Deal?" Is Monty Hall going to run the Democrat convention?

Look, Floriduh and Michigan were told that they would lose their delegates if they had their primaries before whatever the fuck it was the date the DNC set. They caved to republican pressures and self interests and did it anyway. Now, the DNC is compromising and letting them seat their delegates but with half a vote. Half a vote? What the fuck is that?

This is typical democrat bullshit. We don't like what MoronMonkeyBoy administration does and we say we're not going to do it, but then we cave and let them do it all and whatever they want to do. Endlessly. This is the most spineless, flip flopping political party that has ever been in the United States of America.
Alexander Hamilton once said "three fourths of members of congress are mortal enemies of talent and three fourths of the remained have only contempt for integrity." I think that describes the fools making the rules at the DNC. Jr. Hi bullshit.

Imbecilic American Proles

McCain Trusted More Than Obama on Economy, Iraq, National Security
rasmussenreports.com
When it comes to the economy, 47% of voters trust John McCain more than Barack Obama. Obama is trusted more by 41%. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey also found that, when it comes to the War in Iraq, McCain is trusted more by 49% of voters. Obama is preferred by 37%. McCain has an even larger edgeĆ¢€”53% to 31%--on the broader topic of National Security. These results are little changed from a month ago. . . .
When it comes to the economy, men trust McCain more by a 55% to 33% margin.

You gotta be kidding me. You fucking ignorant proles trust a Bush administration lackey with the economy over ANYONE? I'd trust Mickey Fucking Mouse with the economy over any dumb fuck republican at this point. Do you people have any recollection of what the economy was like after 12 years of Reagan/Bush? Do you have a clue as to what has caused our economy to go south for the past eight years? Who are you dumb fuck 47% of American voters? Oh, and 55% of men who trust the dumb fuck republican. . . you've proven that men are dumber than women. I'm sorry, but the facts speak for themselves.

Cluster bombs from Amurkkka

111 nations adopt cluster bomb treaty, but not US
By SHAWN POGATCHNIK, Associated Press Writer
DUBLIN, Ireland - Diplomats from 111 nations formally adopted a landmark treaty banning cluster bombs on Friday after futile calls for participation by the weapons' biggest makers and users, particularly the United States.

So is this the United States of America that I'm supposed to be proud of? Sorry, but this only makes me feel a very high degree of shame and disgust. Waddaya got to counteract that?
On a side note; take a look at who those cluster bombs are used on most. Other white people?

Muddy Waters - Hoochie Coochie Man (1971)

On the 7th hour on the 7th day on the 7th month. . . I'm the hoochie coochieman!
Everybody knows I'm here!

THIN LIZZY - JAILBREAK

Some of us won't survive.

Thin Lizzy - Whiskey In The Jar

Aw hell, I'm gonna post a couple more. . .

Thin Lizzy - The Cowboy Song

Fuck politics. This really matters.

Damn, it's hard to believe that this song is over 30 years old.
If you love a smooth guitar, or two smooth guitars, how can you not love this song. One of, if not the first rock band to use two dueling lead guitars.
This is one of the best rock bands ever and certainly the best thing to come out of Ireland ever. The lead singer and song writer, Phil Lynott, was half Irish, half Afro-Brazilian and 100% rock n roll. Sadly, he died around '86 from too much drugs and alcohol.
But thanks Phil for some of my favorite songs.
Thin Lizzie Jail Break Album is in my top 5 and the licks on "The Cowboy Song" are pure honey.

Terrorist Scarf!!

Oh dear lord! It's a TERRORIST scarf! Yes folks, the juvenile moronic thinkers on the right believe that Rachel Ray's scarf in this Dunkin Donuts commercial is a sign that Dunkin Donuts, Rachel Ray and who the fuck knows who else support Islamic terrorism. I fucking kid you not. Michelle Malkin, the radical right wing extremist wrote: ‘‘The keffiyeh, for the clueless, is the traditional scarf of Arab men that has come to symbolize murderous Palestinian jihad." She then called for boycott of Dunkin Donuts. Of course the rest of thee right wing has jumped on this and is posting all over the internet about this scourge of scarves upon Amurkkka.
How fucking juvenile and downright childish are these buffoons going to get. Never mind, remember Sen. Joe McCarthy? Maybe you don't. Joe McCarthy was a communist hunter who ruined many careers. He was eventually discredited by most as a crazed maniac. This is the level to which this whole right wing anti-terrorist bullshit has sunk.

What's worse? Well I'll tell ya. . . Dunkin Donuts has caved into this hideous anti-American propaganda and pulled the ad.

If you really believe in freedom. If you really believe in the Constitution of the United States. If you really believe in the good of logic and reason. Boycott Dunkin Donuts for caving in to this absurd line of terrorist right wing harrassment.
It is all so insane.

Recreant politics

Bush compares today's wars to World War II efforts
By BEN FELLER, Associated Press Writer 2 hours, 1 minute ago
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - President Bush, linking the wars of his tenure to the deadliest one in history, is asking the country to commit anew to postwar rebuilding.

In an address for Wednesday to more than 1,000 graduates of the U.S. Air Force Academy, Bush frames their futures by drawing back to the World War II generation. He links the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to postwar Germany and Japan six decades ago.

Words can't describe the contempt and total disgust I feel for this low life piece of shit excuse for a president. The act of comparnig this cluster fuck of a war in Iraq for the benefit of his corporate royalist handlers to the sacrifice and valor of the men and women who fought in World War II is simply the most grievous offence I can think of against those old soldiers who still survive from that lterrible but necessary war.

I knew those soldiers. I sat in deer camps late at night as a bottle was passed around and they spilled out their stories to each other and I sat quietly to the side knowing that what I was hearing deserved to be honored and respects. Even as a 10 yr old child I knew these men were horribly affected by their experiences and that their experiences were indeed powerful and grave. I listened to their stories as they grew older in gas stations (a popular rural meetiing place), bars and backyards. The stories changed as they got older. . . they became stories of regret and mental anguish over their reactions to their experience throughout their life. The violence and the pain all reenforced the fact that these men suffered their whole lives over the hell they endured in the freezing cold fields of Europe and the steaming hot jungles of the Pacific.

These were men who raised me. I have watched them go from young tough brutally strong men who could do ANYTHING to the old and frail gentle men that most are today. Just writing this brings tears to my eyes thinking about the world they inherited and the work they did to make it a better place. These people, both men and women, black and white, rich and poor, were one of America's greatest generations. I can only think of those who fought the Revolution as being comparable.

The truth is, my generation experienced and witnessed a revolution that THEY created and formed upon their return to civilized society. In the 50s and 60s we saw a whole new world created that we today sit back and take for granted. . . but I digress.

How dare that little imbecile of a president, the corporate lackey poser, compare the treasonous mess he and his corporate sponsors have gotten us into to the noble just cause that our fathers and mothers sacrificed themselves for. How can we sit silent as he disrepects and slanders the acts and memory of that great generation?

But remember George W. Bush is not alone. There is an entire congress that has let him and his royalist puppet masters get away with the rape and pillage of our national resources and waging war in the name of corporate capitalism. Yes, those elected officials, those career politicians that we pay to exert the will of corporate America are just as complicit in this treason as the puppet masters who control the presidency.

Fuck you George W. Bush and all your enablers. I hope you all rot in a cold dark nasty prison somewhere until your dying day out of sight but never out of mind of the American people. We can't let this happen again folks.

Political madness

On final stretch, Clinton says she's not quitting
by Jitendra Joshi Sun May 25, 4:00 PM ET
WASHINGTON (AFP) - White House hopeful Hillary Clinton marched into the Democrats' final full week of campaigning in defiant form Sunday, vowing no surrender to Barack Obama despite the crippling odds against her. . . .

"I am running because I still believe I can win on the merits," she argued in a front-page commentary for the New York Daily News, while also pledging Democratic unity for November's presidential election.

"I'm standing up for the deepest principles of our party and for an America that values the middle class and rewards hard work," the New York senator said.

"Finally, I am running because I believe I'm the strongest candidate to stand toe-to-toe with Senator McCain. Delegate math might be complicated -- but electoral math is not."

At this point, and with her making claims and statements like these, one really has to begin calling into question her mental health. Where are her handlers? Where are the people who should be keeping her from appearing to be such a delusional fool. Why would the people who care about her let her parade around like some kind of half crazed desperate ego maniac?

Very, very strange.

Say it aint so Teddy

Senator Edward M. Kennedy: An American Icon.

I'll always remember Ted Kennedy in one of two way:

looking very intellectual as he gives an issue all the attention and study that it deseves on the senate floor:

or with fire in his eyes and voice delivering his studied opinion on some issue on the senate floor.

Either way, Senator Kennedy has always contemplated the good of the country and most important, the good of the people into all his decisions. He is a man who could have sat back and just enjoyed his family fortune with a life of leisure and ease, but instead he chose to fight the good fight and give back to his country that which had been so abundantly given to him.
After watching all three of his brothers die in service to their country he still chose to go on and forge his own legacy of service that makes most pale in comparison.

Back in 1969 Kennedy was involvedin tragic car accident on Chappaquiddick Island in which a young woman he was with died. Unfortunately his political enemies used that incident against him. Sure, he wasn't without sin, but to claim that he killed Mary Jo Kopechne was simply absurd and the voters of Massachusetts agreed.

So despite whatever flaws anyone would like to highlight about Senator Edward M. Kennedy, he has been and continues to be a beacon of unselfish service to the United States of America and represents the last of a generation of a family that gave almost everything and the best of what they had to their country. If half of America's citizens showed half of the dedication and willingness to sacrifice that those wonderful, inspiring and pivileged white boys from Hyannisport gave, our country would be great again.

Thanks Ted, for all you've done, all the causes you've championed and all the battles you've fought for all the people of the United States of America. May you fight the good fight against this serious diagnosis you have been given and live to fight many more.

Facts of life

Sadly but predictably, Obama lost to the rednecked racist white working class in WV and KY. It was brutal and it was decisive. The racist proles of Appalachia came out in support of Hillbillary in in obvious proportions. What else is there to say? I see all sorts of Appalachian apologists making pitifully lame excuses as to why the good people of Appalachia would vote so overwhelmingly for the white candidate over the black candidate, but all are exactly that, lame, very lame. Folks, I know Appalachia. I live in the heart and soul of Appalachia. . . not some Appalachian urban area where Josh and Sarah just think it's horrible that anyone could think of them as prejudiced! Gasp! Josh and Sarah "don't have a racist bone in their body."

(stop, gag, wince, go on)

Nope, I live in the real WV where black people fear to tread. I hear the true feelings and the real comments being made. They aint pretty folks, they just aint pretty. So fuck all you lame ass self appointed Appalachian social experts sitting in your hilltop home or your urban valley hideaway. If you think Mr. Obama lost REALLY BIG round these parts because of any reason other than that Appalachia is a hotbed of blatant racism where education and even a pretense of modern social propriety are scarce, then you're delusional. Enjoy your fantasy land.

Again sadly, WV and KY have rendered themselves irrelevant as they always do with their 'bend over and stick it to me' political will. Obama will cruise to victory over a republican candidate who is going to be seen as a standard bearer of republican politics of the past eight years. He will rise like a shinng beacon of hope above the stench of this dark and dismal republican party. And when this new era of American politics rises from the horror of the past four decades, WV and KY will be viewed as the antiquated, backwater that they really are. They will once again be left to their own pitiful, poverty ladened past, present and future.

Nice job folks. Had it been 50-45 or even 55-43 these wordss would be invalid. But GEEZ, 65-28?! Why don't ya just put up a sign at the border "No Negros Allowed!" Yes, the press is pretty much ignoring the Hillbillary "big win" in KY and her pledge to "stay in." It's a joke at this point. They're focused on Barack's strategy for the general and at best for Hillbillary, her lack of cash and mounting debt. Like many of us said a looooong time ago, it's over.

Sorry Hillbillary, but a little KY aint gonna help you squeeze this one in.

ON the bright side. . . have you seen the thousands who areturning out for Obama rallys across the nation? Holy shit! TENS of thousands! 75,000 in Portland Oregon, 45,000 in Des Moines, Iowa! Fucking Des Moines, Iowa (later I'm going to apologize for what I said about Iowa a few months ago). That is unheard of in American politics.

For the republicans this has to be like LBJ looking out across the mall in Washington, DC, seeing half a million protestors and realizing that it was all over.

John McCain/McBush and his national security strategy

Ok, here a pitifully brief synopsis of the situation.

The military has an antiquated tanker fleet made up of 1950s era 707s and 1960s L1011s (they don't call them that, but that's what they are). In fact, the 707 was originally manufactured to be an air force refueling tanker.

So they need new ones. Soon. They had two options, using American made Boeing 777s or European made Airbus 360s.
They eventually picked the European option. Whuuuh?! Why not the Boeing American made, lots of new American jobs, stability for Americas biggest airplane manufacturers. . . one of only two in the world that make big planes these day and one of America's finest manufacturers with a rich tradition and culture of excellence?
The biggest military contract in years and for years to come goes to a European company?
Believe me, there are many people scratching their heads and wondering "what the fuck?!"
Yea, they're going to get good planes. Probably just as good and reliable as the Boeing option. But why not chose the American company if they seem to be about equal with each having it's advantages? Wouldn't it be better to have one of the most strategically important pieces of America's military defence manufactured in the USA by a domestic company if for nothing else but security reasons?
There are lots of good excuses to these question but no good answers.

Now, one of the opponents of Boeing was John McCain/McBush. Yes, the man who wants ot be your president of these United States scuttled a previous contract with Boeing and was against them getting the recently awarded contract. Huh? WTF?

It also turns out that his "national finance co-chair, one Thomas G. Loeffler, former congressional Rep (R) from Texas has his own lobbying firm and guess who his biggest client is . . YEA, European Aeronautic Defence and Space Co., which is the parent company of Airbus.
Now, all together "WHAT THE FUCK?!?!"

When Boeing is laying off workers from it's facilities in Seattle, Chicago and Kansas City and other places, when the instrument manufacturer in HomeTown, USA shuts down and 75 good paying jobs are lost, or when the composite manufacturing facility in someone elses home town shuts down and 150 jobs are lost, everytime some manufacturer who could have remained solvewnt with some of that Boeing contract money closes its doors, remember who lost those jobs for you and thousands of other Americans. Remember who believed that personal gain was more important than American jobs and ultimately our national security. Some dare call it treason.

Will the proles really vote for this little corpo-fascist worm?

Diplomacy from the dark side

Will the farse of this corporate administration never end? How completely fucked up is this bullshit. The MoronMonkeyBoy goes into the middle east where he heaps high praise upon the Iraelis in their national forum and then goes into the Arab countries and does nothing but criicize them for everything they do. This is the guy that the middle east holds responsible for invading their sub continent and causing a resurgence of mayhem in the whole area. This is the guy they hold responsible for installing an occupational Army into their region. This guy is viewed as the leader of an invading force that has brought plunder pain and political madness to their region. Well, one thing ya gotta hand to the bottom feeding scum sucker, he didn't appease them.
Nice work Mr. Piece of Shit Treasonous President.

Bush lectures Arab world on political reform, women's rights
By TERENCE HUNT, AP White House Correspondent 11 minutes ago
SHARM EL-SHEIK, Egypt - President Bush lectured the Arab world Sunday about everything from political repression to the denial of women's rights but ran into Palestinian complaints he is favoring Israel in stalled Mideast peace talks. "Freedom and peace are within your grasp," Bush said despite scant signs of progress.

Winding up a five-day trip to the region, Bush took a strikingly tougher tone with Arab nations than he did with Israel in a speech Thursday to the Knesset. Israel received effusive praise from the president while Arab nations heard a litany of U.S. criticisms mixed with some compliments. . . .

Bush headed back to Washington with little to show for the trip. Saudi Arabia rebuffed his plea for help with soaring oil prices, Egypt's leader questioned his seriousness about peacemaking and there was not enough progress in the peace talks to warrant a three-way meeting of Bush with Israeli and Palestinian leaders.
[What, "nothing to show?!?" He showed what a bunch of completely recreant morons and montrous bastards totally devoid of intellect comprise this Amurkkkan administration ]

And this fucking idiot is talking about bringing peace to the middle east. He should be censored by the congress. Those same bodies should then write and deliver in person letters of apologies to all the countries Bush the Chimp visited. The least they can do is look into the possibility of restricting as much as possible within the bound of the Constitution of the United States the actions and movements of the president. They should then appoint an oversight committee to closely monitor all activities of this corpo-fascist administration and report daily to both houses of congress the actions and movements of the presidency.

Or, they could simply get right down to the business of impeaching this horrid excuse for a human being from the presidency while at the same time doing the same to his big daddy vice president. We certainly don't need that nut case in complete charge. Perhaps that is why the dems have been so reluctant to impeach this piece of shit excuse for a human being acting as president. They know that Dickhead Cheney will simply move in and even more directly administer the will of the corporate royalists. It's ugly folks. I tell ya, it's ugly. We've taken so many steps backward over the last 35 years in this experiment in running the democratic republic those great men of 1776 implimented that it's hard to say if we can ever regain our footing.

It's one absurd fuck up after another with these corpo-fascist traitors. How disgusted and sick of this ridiculous bullshit have the American people become? Will they go ahead and be fear mongered into voting another republican corporate lackey into the White House? Just how stupid ARE the citizens of the United States of America?

Guns 'n god republican thugs

:How long is the old worn out republican playbook going to work?

You can't take away guns in this country. The people won't stand for it. I can look around the room from where I'm sitting and see numerous guns. I can walk into the next room and see numerous more. Yea, I like having some guns around and handy here on the farm 15 miles from the nearest store and another 10 to the nearest town whch happens to be in a different county, so the closest county deputies won't come out here. When I go out and about in my pastures taking care of fences and just generally checking on things, I pack a pistol. You never know what you're going to find, be it an animal thatneeds to be put down or a vermint harrassing my animals. Yea, if some shit goes down out here, I'm going to have to be the one to handle it. I won't be able to huddle in my home and wait while Brinks Home Security calls the police for me. See, I have an imperitive to have my guns. I really do have to have them should I need to protect my family, home, barn, livestock or whatever. Oh, and if the shit hits the fan we're equiped for either lethal or non-lethal intervention and it will be used quickly and forcefully. If some raging threatening motherfucker is coming through my door, he's dead. If some dumb bubba motherfucker is trying to steal my shit down in the barnyard, he's got an ass load of buckshot. . . . you get the idea.

That said and true, I almost always vote for liberal candidates. The ones that the corpo-fascist lying republicans say are goingto take my guns away.

In all my adult life, I've never seen a single piece of legislation taken the least bit seriously that was the slightest threat to my gun ownership. . . .never not one.

Here's a picture of the latest gus 'n god republican dip-shit. I've been to this store where he is in this picture. I've actually bought things that I was going to use there and not just "a fishing rod and some bobbers."
Yea, he used all the old bullshit lines about democrats taking away yer guns. Then he went on to an NRA convention in the great similarly rednecked state of KY.
Oh, and a hint to Mrs. McCain. . . you might want to do a comb over on that wild receding hairline of yours. . . either that or rent it out for billboard space.

Ed. We do need legislation that takes guns out of the hands of criminals and children. Such things as thorough background checks for certain types of pistols and limits on the number of high powered rifles and pistols one person can buy in a month.
People are going to states where they can buy all the pisotls they want of any kind and taking them into urban areas where they are sold to the highest bidder.
Why would anyone need more than one, two or three pistols per month? Why would they need more than a certain amount in a year? Ditto high powered rifles.
Make a good case for why anyone needs the right to unlimitted gun purchases and I will listen, but so far, all I've heard is "if we do that, then more resprictions will follow." Bullshit. That is not what legislative history dictates. If anything, resptrictive legislation tends to get recinded rather than enacted upon further.
Oh geez, don't give me some bullshit anecdotal evidence about some single issue that is just the opposite of the norm. I really tire of all the redneck white trash NRA twist and turn bullshit that you proles open wide and guzzle when they shove it down your throat.

MoronMonkeyBoy keeps hittin em outta the park

With all the politiking going on it's easy to lose sight of what the MoronMonkeyBoy Bush the Chimp is up to these days. Hell, with John McCain/McBush around, who needs the piece of shit frat boy? And afterall, isn't getting a democrat elected, a non-corporate democrat more important than anything else? We need to get the nightmare of these past 7 years behind us and move on.
But what the hell, let's check in on the little lying scum sucker anyway, shall we?

Recently Georgie the little semi-mentally retarded presidential poser said "it's harder bein the son of a preseedent than the preseedent."
I believe it you little Texass turd. Being president you have everyone telling you exactly what to say, how to say it, where to go when and generally watching every move you make and keeping you from fucking up too bad. When you were only the president's son, you kinda had to be careful on your own, although, I'm sure they kept a fairly tight reign on you. You couldn't get drunk and drive, you probably had to quit buying and snorting cocaine and you had to be careful just where you were spotted. Well, they seemed to have done a fairly good job of watching out for ya even back then, so how hard could it have been? Daddy's buddies set you up in one failed business venture after another. You certainly didn't have to work at any of them. Then there was the baseball team. Was that hard?
Tell ya what you little preppy drunk punk, why don't you shut the fuck up. Thousands of young American men and women have been killed in wars that were unnecessary under your presidency. The life is being sucked out of our country by your oil company corporate royalist handlers while you sit there and talk about how it's harder being a president's son than being the president. Fuck you.
I don't believe in heaven and hell, but if there is a place where recreant pieces of shit go to live in torture for eternity, I hope you're on the list.

How about this: The smiling moron has been talking about bringing peace to the middle east. WTF you say?! Your administration invaded the middle east and turned it into a killing field. You have the blood of tens, probably hundreds of thousands of middle east people on your hands. Peace you say? And you're going to bring it about?
How long will you ignorant proles continue to buy into this absurd bullshit from these republican corporate lackeys?

Oh, and high drama and sacrifice at the White House: The bumbling idiot, in an effort to show his attitude of sacrifice in the face of thousands of American men and women dying in a useless war gave up golf." Yes, folks, he didn't want those mourning mothers seeing the preseedent playing golf. Yea, he said that in a nationally aired interview.
I have one question for you imbecilic proles who voted for these national embarrasements: What is it like being you? How do you think you'll feel 20-30 yrs from now when your grandchildren, while studying history ask you questions about this, the first seriously mentally challenged presideedent who resided over the absolute worse administration in history and they suddenly realize that YOU voted for the atrocity?

And the number one most recreant low life cheap ass scum sucking maneuver by the faux preseedent was his statement today that 'electing a democrat to the presidency will mean another terrorist attack on Amurkkka.' Yes, he really said that.
How many stupid, ignorant, non-thinking brain dead moron Amurkkkan proles will sit there are say "yup, caint be lectin no democrats." Probaly the same eones who sat there shivering with fear when he said they needed to invade Iraq or else there would be a mushroom cloud over some Amurkkkan city.

So don't worry, nothing has changed with the MoronMonkeyBoy Bush the Chimp. He's still a lying little piece of shit. The proles who buy into his treasonous lies are still a bunch of ignorant uneducated morons.

Anecdotal or not. . .

This is just about it in a nutshell. Yea, it's all anecdotal, but man, does it sound familiar to what I've been hearing over and over here in the Mountain State.
I've heard highly educated engineers say "he's a Muslim!" I've heard fairly well healed folks who wouldn't be described as "rubes" use the "N" word when discussing Obama. I've heard lots of working and middle class folks come up with lame excuses like "I just don't know what he stands for." Then you ask them what Billary or McBush/McCain "stands for" and it get even lamer.

Pitiful racist working class proles who have no idea about anything including their own best interests.

Vote for McCain/McBush you ignorant dumb fucks hillbillies. You'll deserve the ton of shit that will be the result of 4-8 more years of corpo-fascism. Yea, it could get worse here in the hills.

WV voter poll data

Some West Virginia exit poll info:

70% of voters are whites without college degrees. The highest percentage of any state.

75% of those voted for Billary

50% of WV voters believe that Obama agrees and supports Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Obama has denounced and condemned the good Rev.

60% of voters like Billary's gas tax holiday idea even though it has been shown to be a bad idea by every economist that has weighed in on it.

Almost 25% of voters said the race of the candidate is important. Again, the highest of any state.

Over 66% of Billary voters say they will vote for McCaini over Obama.

That about sums it up. . . Hillary wins the ignorant, uneducated moron vote.

Terry McCauliffe sounded like a rabid dog while being interviewed by Chris Matthews this evening. The guy was practically spitting his bullshit. Absurd.

Some good stuff for your brain

Do we have the right here in the United States to say that we’re going to kill tens of thousands, make millions of people, as we have, refugees, kill women and children, as we have? I very seriously question whether we have that right...When we use napalm, when a village is destroyed and civilians are killed, this is a moral obligation and a moral responsibility for us here in the United States.

and this. . .

For the fortunate among us, there is the temptation to follow the easy and familiar paths of personal ambition and financial success so grandly spread before those who enjoy the privilege of education. But that is not the road history has marked for us. The future does not belong to those who are content with today, apathetic toward common problems and their fellow man alike. Rather it will belong to those who can blend vision, reason and courage in a personal commitment to the ideals and great enterprises of American society.

A little reality for the pitiful Billary folks

This little ditty from MSNBC. . .

Her chief strategist, Howard Wolfson, said West Virginia is a key swing state that Republicans won in 2000 and 2004, and that the former first lady will put back in the Democratic column. He challenged Obama to beat her there if the senator from Illinois wants her out of the race.

"Why can't Senator Obama beat Senator Clinton in West Virginia?". . . Wolfson said on "Fox News Sunday."

Why can't Obama win in WV?

You gotta be kidding Howard. WV is the most red necked, working class, uneducated white state in the nation. Maybe there is one that is moreso, but I doubt it. Kentucky comes in a close second. Obama will win neither.
The good thing is that the white working class racist vote is no longer essential for winning the presidency. Obama will win taking the big states where well educated whites and many minority people live. With that demographic, the electoral college is his.
Yea, it would be nice if things were different. It would be nice if my home state were enlightened enough to help put the first African-American president into office. It would be nice if we weren't a part of the backward, uneducated, ignorant working class mass of proles in this country. Alas, we are . . . and we'll soon learn that we don't matter anymore when we once again vote for the republican good ol boy candidate.

Howard Wolfson; why don't you and Terry McAuliffe go to a backroom somewhere and do your knob job bullshit on each other instead of dirtying up the airwaves with your slobbering desperate bile. And no, nobody wants to watch. You're both no longer relavent except to each other.

I had the terrible opportunity of being in two of WV's biggest cities on Sat. In both, the Billary supporters were eon every street corner waving to cars. . . do they do that in other places?. . . I laughed at them all and even taunted a few, but the one striking thing about them was therey were all lilly white. In fact, in Charleston, there were about three corners in a row where they were all male bubbas with their beer bellies, buzz cuts and slack jawed expressions. I suspect we'll see a lot of that type of desperate support for McCain when this general election takes off. It'll be interesting to see how McCain handles the white supremist support that is going to come out of thee closet for him. . . especially here in the gold buckle of the Appalachian bible belt.

Idiots of the democratic party

There are 795 "super delegates."
271 "super delegates" support Billary and are holding to that position. They are ignorant morons.
266 support Obama.
258 have not yet declared their support for anyone. They are slimey bottom feeding scum suckers who ought to be treated with the greatest distain and revulsion.

It's time for party leaders to unite behind one candidate. . . oh never mind, that would take LEADERS. There are no leaders in the democratic party, just cheap political whores with no backbone or good ethics.

TSA fascist thugs

Here's another expectation I have of the Obama Administration; get "Homeland Security under control. Wire taps, listening to phone conversations, tracking internet clicks and the ultimate fuck head moron thugs, TSA.

I fucking hate TSA. you don't see or hear me use the term hate very often. . . in fact, look through every post I've ever made here and I challenge anyone to find a single line where I said I hate ANYTHING, but I do hate TSA. These guys are a bunch of cop wannabes who could get near the door of any police academy. . . and we all know what rigorous standards police academies have.
I hate TSA. I hate them every time I have to take my shoes off to get through their invasive airport screen. I hate them every timie I turn around and see them making some old lady, like my mother go through the process of removing their shoes. I hate them every time I go through their bullshit and they pull me aside and go over every inch of my body with their little wonder wands. My kids say they do it to me every time because I have dark bushy eye brows and I don't smile at them. I hate them every time I encounter their fascist incursion into my space and watch them treat people as if they are cattle going to slaughter. I hate them every tiime I see some slack jawed pear shaped dip shit acting like he's some sort of tough guy talking to a citizen like they are shit under their feet.
Today I really hate them. A very good friend of mine was trying to get onto a plane in NYC for a flight to Pittsburg. She was coming from the docks where she and her 5 yr old grand daughter had just finished a week long Caribbean Cruise. From P'burg they had a 5 hour drive to get home. For some reason, TSA though this granmother and her granddaughter looked suspicious, so they escourted them off to a very small room somewhere deep within Laguardia Airport. There they sat being periodically questioned by TSA thug scumbags for hours. In thee end they were told that it was a case of mistaken idendity and they were free to go. No apology, no compensation, no nothing. Compensation you say Hillbilly? For what? Well, they missed their flight. The flight was supposed to get into P'burg in early afternoon. Since they missed that one, she had to pay $50 each to get another flight that got into P'burg at almost 11PM. By then, she was too tired to drive 5 hours, so she had to get a motel room. That got her home the next day where she missed a whole lot of important work.
Coompensation? What the hell do you want? You were released and told you were free to go! Fuck, they could have taken you to Guantanamo. Consider yourself lucky.
I fucking hate TSA.

Expectations. . . sometimes called premeditated resentments.

I have expectation of our next president. I have expectations because I expect the next president to be Mr. Barack Obama.
I expect the next president of the United States of America to be a black man. Wow. What an expectation. What an amazing reality. I always believed it would happen, but the reality of it possibly really happening is a bit overwhelming. I can only imagine how my black brothers and sisters who have been political junkies like me must be feeling.

So what do I expect from Mr. Obama? Well, I've certainly heard him talk a mighty purty line but you've gotta ask yourself "can he really deliver all of that?" Probably not. No one could. He won't be given the chance. What he does have the chance to do however is to bring issues to the front of people's minds and into the social conscious by addressing them and taking a shot at solving them however fruitless that shot might be.
What issues deserve a place on his list?

1. Iraq. Ok, he can do something about this by announcing a plan for withdrawal the day he takes office. I expect nothing less.

2. Poverty. Address the issue. Propose programs. Make speeches about it. We have poverty in this country. From back country roads to the most inner parts of the inner cities we have people living in poverty. Children are being neglected and malnurished as a result. People who were once middle class are now living below or near the poverty line. When you talk about jobs and education you've got to bring up poverty.

3. Jobs. Corporate America doesn't want to pay american workers decent wages. They can line their pockets more thoroughly by shippinh jobs to foreign markets and paying pennies on the dollar. Fuck that. Penalize them. Throw them out of the country. If you can't pay American workers for a certain percentage of your product, get you fat corporate asses out of here and don't bring your shit products back onto our shores.

4. Education. Education is the key to people acting civil and having dignity and respect for themselves and one another. Education gets people jobs and keeps employers around. Education is the key to an electorate that will demand good and worthy candidates. Education drives a civilization. Don't be fooled, the corporate royalists who run this country don't want an educated populous.

5. Racism. Yes America, it's still an issue. Even with a black president it will still be an issue. 40 million African-American people across this nation are not lying. Ask any one of them if racism is a major issue in their lives. Go ahead, ask them.
It keeps children from acheiving their full potential. It shortens lives. IT put stresses on individuals, families and communities. It's bad for our culture and our society. Let's talk about it.

6. Women's issues. OK, prejudice against women. . . sexism. It too exists. I want my daughters to have all the opportunity that my sons have. I want them to be just as free to take a risk as my sons. I want equality for ALL women. . . not just white women or middle class women or educated women. . . . ALL WOMEN.

7. Healthcare. Anyone in these United States of America should be able to walk into any health care facility anywhere and receive the best treatment available. They shouldn't have to worry if they have or don't have insurance. Healthcare needs to move into the relm of human rights. The country that likes to toot its horn as the biggest, best and greatest should have nothing less than universal healthcare for ALL it's citizens.

8. Energy policy. The only way we are going to control the price of oil is to control our consumption of oil. This is something that will invoke the wrath of the biggest lobby in America and the most powerful corporate royalist group in America. . . Big oil. Tough shit. You're not beholding to anyone, right Barack? Take a shot. Our country's future depends upon it.

9. Environment. Put our environmental policy back in order. After 8 yrs of having the corporate royalty get their way, we are in big trouble. We also need to join with the rest of the world to save humanity.

What's the McCain/McBush position on all this? Business as usual? Is he going to get us out of Iraq? Challenge big oil? Address prejudice? Think about it.

North Carolina, Indiana and heros.

WooHooo! Obama has won North Carolina by a BIG margin.

Here is a picture of my son in Indiana. . .

He left Pennsylvania the morning after the primary and headed west. He stopped in his home port of Columbus, OH for a day and while there completely blew out his knee. I tried to get him to come home and get a good diagnosis, but he said he had to go to Indiana, so after a day delay, he headed west to Indiana. He has been there ever since, tied to a desk, "cutting turf" (whatever that means) for canvases and doing whatever he is capable of doing to help the camapign. He's standing in the picture, but just barely.

I spoke with him a little while ago and again tried to get him to come home for a few days, get a good diagnosis and rest his knee for a while, but he told me he couldn't, that he hoped that in the next day or so he'd be headed to Oregon.

How could a father be more proud? I just do not have the words.

YES! YES! YES!
Obama has won NC by 14%!!
Indiana is still too close to call with over 200,000 votes not yetcounted from Obama stronghold counties.

It's done.

Billary the lying chameleon bitch gun advocate

Sorry, but the gloves are off.

Billary has gone through one of the most astounding transformation in political history. Ya see, Billary was once the champion of well-to-do working mothers, liberal intellectuals, and the granola chewing left wing crowd. There was no mistaking who Billary was and what she stood for. Back when Billary was in the White House the first time, she used to poke fun at the stay-at-home soccer moms, but all that has changed, you see Billary is now the champion of the uneducated white working class and poor. She has parlayed her position into one that will defend them from the forces of 'the dark side.' She will be their firewall against that uppity. . . uh, other candidate.

She has given up on the people of color, the intellectuals and the "latte liberals," so in her effort to woo the uneducated white working class and poor she has been using NASCAR metaphors, giving speeches at truck stops and using an awfull lot of "y'alls" in her stump speeches across the south. But now Billary has pulled out the big guns (no pun intended). She is now questioning Mr. Obama on his views toward gun control. Yes, gun control. This is the woman who wanted to register ALL firearms in the USA back in her last White House days. This is a woman who was an enemy of the NRA. WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT BILLARY?!?! Are you fucking nuts? No, just a horrendously treacherous, low life recreant. Of course, all this was done through mailings just a few days before the primaries in Indiana and NC today. There is no time for Mr. Obama to get the message out that Billary is a lying piece of shit with her bullshit. This was a totally planned assault.
Can we now look forward to Billary being the champion of the pro-life movement? How about a big "family values" campaign.

I used to admire and respect the Clintons. Now I despise them. They have earned my scorn in oh so many ways.

Sociopolitical reality that they WON'T tell you

Jay Bookman, The Philadelphia Inquirer 5may08

"We Americans have a high regard for ourselves. We are - or so we tell ourselves - the richest, the most generous, the most powerful, the most peace-loving, the most productive, the most w

We also love politicians who dare to tell us all those wonderful things about ourselves. Like any people, we want to think well of our country and take pride in it, and we want leaders who take pride in it as well.

But there's a difference between justified pride and illusion.
Too many Americans seem to believe that our place in the world has been divinely ordained and thus permanent, when in fact it is the product of past sacrifice and wise choices. It can all be lost if we also lose the capacity to look at ourselves and our problems honestly.

It is no longer true, for example, that we are the richest nation in the world. Quite the contrary, in recent years we have become the world's biggest debtor nation. We are financing our prosperity in the manner of an old but declining aristocratic family, living beyond our means year by year by pawning off the assets earned by earlier generations.

But our leaders don't dare tell us that truth, because they know we wouldn't take it well. Even as they acknowledge some minor current difficulties, most of our political and business leaders reassure us that our economy is still sound as a dollar. They don't happen to point out that compared with the euro, the value of that dollar has declined by a third in just the last five years.

Yes, we remain productive, but that too cannot last if our government is too poor to invest sufficiently in our public infrastructure. Our roads, bridges, rail lines and ports are crumbling and insufficient in a modern economy, but we decline to tax ourselves to correct that situation. Our nation's Highway Trust Fund - the main source of infrastructure investment - will be bankrupt by 2009, yet we refuse to increase gasoline taxes to replenish that account.

Officially, we tell ourselves we can't afford it. Meanwhile we ship fortunes to oil producers overseas, where the money is put to such useful and productive purposes as building ski resorts in the Arabian desert.

There are no easy answers to $4 gasoline, but our leaders are nonetheless eager to offer a few. Some choose to bash the oil companies, as if they are at fault for our addiction to their product. Others suggest suspending the federal gasoline tax, which would slightly and temporarily ease our pain at the gas pump but do nothing whatsoever to cure the underlying disease.

President Bush, for his part, suggests drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, yet another seemingly pain-free solution. But we could drain the wildlife refuge of every single drop of oil it might hold and it would not lower the price of gasoline a nickel. Nor would it alter our strategic situation in any meaningful way.

Four hundred years ago, an English writer-philosopher offered great advice to a counselor to King James I. Always tell the king the truth, Sir Francis Bacon wrote in a letter to his friend. Tell the king what he needs to hear, not what he wants to hear.

'If you flatter him, you betray him,' Bacon warned. "If you conceal the truth of those things from him . . . you are as dangerous a traitor to this state as he that riseth in arms against him."

A lot of things have changed since Bacon's time. In this country, We the People are now king, but Bacon's truth still applies. Those advisers and courtiers who flatter us also betray us.
Instead of flattery, we need honesty. We don't need leaders to tell us how great we are, we need leaders willing to tell us that we've gotten ourselves into a bad mess and it's going to take hard work, sacrifice and cooperation to fix it. The alternative is the decline of a great nation.
Or, as a writer-philosopher named Bob Dylan once put it:
'If it keeps on raining, the levee's gonna break;
Some people still sleepin', some people wide awake'."

There are probably about 20 or 30 more sociopolitical issues that are crucial to the long term existence of our nation, but you won't hear about em in this election cycle.

Big Oil making Big Bucks - on your shoulders

Exxon Mobil 1Q profit up 17 pct, Wall Street expected more
By JOHN PORRETTO, AP Business Writer
HOUSTON - Exxon Mobil Corp., the world's largest publicly traded oil company, said Thursday record crude prices helped its net income grow 17 percent in the first quarter, but the results came in below Wall Street forecasts.

We can all sleep soundly in our beds tonight knowing that the profits of the oil companies are continually rising to new record highs! Bravo Exxon-Mobil. Fuck all those poor bastard that can't afford to drive to work or heat their homes or afford oh so many things that are dependent upon the price of oil. Let 'em use solar power. . . or eat cake. . . or something.

How bad will it have to get for the average American before they rebel?

MoronMonkeyBoy Bush the Chimp's corporate royalist masters must be beside themselves with joy today. I'll bet they have a big black tie affair just to celebrate. Will you be invited? How many of you proles would like to watch? Wouldn't it be great standing there watching America's royalty shove their arrogance and disinterest in your lives down your throat while you have your hardon in hand wanking away as they walk by spewing more and more indignation upon your sorry asses? Bend over, I'll bet one or two of them would oblige you.
How long. . . .

A democrat with balz?!

DNC chairman under Bill Clinton: Unite behind Obama
By NEDRA PICKLER, Associated Press Writer
WASHINGTON - A leader of the Democratic Party under Bill Clinton has switched his allegiance to Barack Obama and is encouraging fellow Democrats to "heal the rift in our party" and unite behind the Illinois senator.

Joe Andrew, who was Democratic National Committee chairman from 1999-2001, planned a news conference Thursday in his hometown of Indianapolis to urge other Hoosiers to support Obama in Tuesday's primary, perhaps the most important contest left in the White House race. He also has written a lengthy letter explaining his decision that he plans to send to other superdelegates.

I'll bet he's not running for office.
