News bits and Dumb shits

Perry says he doesn't believe in global warming AP - 1 hr 6 mins ago
GOP presidential candidate Rick Perry told New Hampshire voters Wednesday that he does not believe in manmade global warming, calling it a scientific theory that has not been proven.

This stupid fuck wouldn't know a scientific theory from religious dogma. He's simply ignorant. Is Texas going to give us another moronmonkeyboy? Just what we need, a fucking bozo who only believes in mythology.

Is Chris Christie preparing to run for president in 2012?
By Chris Moody | The Ticket
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has repeatedly denied that he intends to run for president in 2012, but according to Bloomberg View columnist Jonathan Alter, he is taking some early steps toward joining the race.
"My sources say NJ Gov. Chris Christie is conducting focus groups in preparation for a possible run for president in 2012," Alter wrote on Twitter just before 12:30 p.m. Eastern time on Wednesday.

This guy is a fat assed buffoon, but at least he's entertaining. It would sorta be like seeing Tony Soprano and Robt DeNero running for president. But lets face it, Amerrykkkins like a subdued candidate with a little bit of a calm demeanor, so he wouldn't have a chance. Afterall, would you want this thug with his finger on the button?

New fighter jet to bolster Russian air force
August 17th, 2011
11:44 AM ET

Russia's new stealth fighter jet made its public debut Tuesday, according to state-run news source RIA Novosti.

The Sukhoi T-50, developed collaboratively by Russia and India, appeared at the MAKS 2011 air show in Zhukovsky, outside Moscow. . . .

The article from the state-run media source says the Sukhoi T-50 cost the two governments about $6 billion to develop, with India shouldering about 35% of the cost. It is intended to match the U.S. F-22 raptor.

These guys have been reverse engineering American airplanes since after WWII when they built an exact replica of the B-29.

Atheists, Muslims More Popular Than Tea Party (Also, Tea Party's Just a New Name for Racist Christian Right)

Is the media's romance with the Tea Party finally going to be ended by cold, hard facts?

The results of a comprehensive New York Times polling project (document link here) offer some good news to that end. The results show that public opinion is trending away from Tea. They also dispel some big myths about the Tea Party being economic in nature rather than what it actually is: a re-branded, repurposed version of the same old Christian Right. This may seem familiar to AlterNet readers--but still, it's good to have the numbers and the mainstream attention to highlight such a crucial truth.

Here's the juiciest nugget from professors David E. Campbell and Robert D. Putnam in the Times, one which encapsulates the Tea Party's growing unpopularity with a vivid comparison or two (emphases mine):

Of course, politicians of all stripes are not faring well among the public these days. But in data we have recently collected, the Tea Party ranks lower than any of the 23 other groups we asked about — lower than both Republicans and Democrats. It is even less popular than much maligned groups like “atheists” and “Muslims.” Interestingly, one group that approaches it in unpopularity is the Christian Right.

Alex Seitz-Wald at Think Progress, highlighting the above results, also notes that these unpopularity numbers for the Tea Party have skyrocketed over the past year or so.

Amerrykkkins love a good freak show, so I don't expect the media attention to the teabaggers to diminish much for the next year or so. In fact, they will probably egg them on with lots of opportunity to express their views.

Thank you Mr. Marshall McLuhan for predicting oh so accurately that "the media is the message." We have acheived a pure version of your prediction.
Fuck you Amerrykkka for tolerating it and sitting back in the 70s and 80s and letting it happen.

Bachmann: I'll bring back $2 gas
By: CNNMoney Staff Reporter Charles Riley
NEW YORK (CNNMoney) - President Michele Bachmann has a promise: $2 gas.
"Under President Bachmann you will see gasoline come down below $2 a gallon again," Bachmann told a crowd Tuesday in South Carolina. "That will happen."

Wow, 'Pie in the sky hopes!' Next we'll be getting a chicken in every pot.
What a total fucktard. Ya gotta wonder about those chosen few who actually gave a vote to this moron in Ames Iowa. Did she give them all blow jobs? How about those folks in Minnesota who keep voting for her.

Hitler Mustache Spray Painted On Mural Of Ronald Reagan
By Chris Cannon

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - Overnight Sunday someone spray painted Hitler's infamous mustache onto the face of Ronald Reagan. The damaged mural covers a wall at the Putnam County Republican Party headquarters in downtown Cookeville.

I don't really like the desecration of private property by hooligans, but this I kinda gotta love. Every time I see that fake smile and think about the years of lies, bullshit and treason we had to endure under the Reagan regime I want to desecrate something.

Man made global warming is a joke. 5 of the planets in out solar system have been warming up for several years. They have no life forms that we know of. Climate change is caused by the Earth and Sun. I do agree we need to clean-up our act on the planet or we will not survive.
What, "23 groups?" Do you really believe what the New York Times and Time Magazine [both losing subscribers like water through a ducks ass] prints is the whole truth? I believe Al Sharpton tells the truth more often than they do. But it would be interesting to know who the 23 groups are. I have never been to one of their [Tea Party] rallies but have passed by some. They do have a diverse bunch of groups and I have no idea if they have an approval rating of less than 6% [Congress]. If so they are a threat to who? They have no power like Congress, other than maybe [a guess] numbers.

A joke? The overwhelming majority (like 99%) of climate scientists are perpetrating a joke?
The poll mentioned such groups as atheists and muslims. I'm sure you could do a little research and find out who the specific groups are. . . or, you can just dismiss the whole thing as faldyrall since you don't want to believe it.

Only time will tell and I'm really not that interested in finding out or caring who they are. Like I said I passed by, didn't stop and smoke a big one with them.
