WASHINGTON - The Senate voted Tuesday to provide $70 billion for U.S. military efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan, handing a victory to President Bush and his GOP allies on Capitol Hill.
The 70-25 roll call paved the way for the Senate to pass a $555 billion omnibus appropriations bill combining the war funding with the budgets for 14 Cabinet agencies.
Just when I was about to publish a post about how with only a 1 member majority the senate had little power to enact a liberal agenda, especially when that one member was a traitorous piece of shit named Leiberman, they go and overwhelmingly pass this unbelieveable piece of pork and republican give-away. Fuch these scum sucking mother fuckers. I am so sick of American whore politicians with no backbone I sometimes think it's time for an active revolt against our government. How is it that they can pander to a treasonous piece of shit president who has a popularity rating of 20%?
