GOVERNMENT LIARS!

Valley haze's mystery lifts
Blue cloud blamed on weather, power plant pollution
By Ken Ward Jr.

An unusually strong temperature inversion combined with coal-fired power plant emissions to create the blue haze that hung over the Kanawha Valley Friday afternoon, state environmental officials said today.

The event more than tripled the concentrations of some dangerous air pollutants, as a thick layer of warm air trapped plant emissions over the Valley, according to state Department of Environmental Protection officials and weather experts.

This is a fucking lie. These government bureaucrats are fucking liars. I suspect that Ken Ward know they are lying, but needs his job.
Friday's pollution was the result of an event. It happened within 15 minutes. 99.9% of the population will believe this bullshit, but there are some of us on both sides who know that this is a dirty pile of stinking bullshit.

I've seen inversions cascade up the valley and I've seen pollution become concentrated in a short amount of time. I've also seen events occur where the valley is suddenly besieged by a cloud of pollution. Friday's condition was caused by an event. Anyone who says otherwise is either ignorant or pushing govenment sponsored bullshit which is nothing short of terrorisim perpetrated against the citizenry.

I fucking hate it when the government lies. Our entire system breaks down and becomes invalid when that happens.

The blue haze was nothing compared to the rotten cabbage smell that woke me at 3 a.m. about two weeks ago. I've lived here for almost 13 years and this has been the WORST year for pollution, hands down.

My mother wants me to quit smoking. Why? I live in the Valley, same difference!

Quit smoking and move out of the valley!

My husband was working in Charleston and said the cloud originated and moved into Charleston from the Corridor G area. He and his co-workers watched it and wondered what the hell it was. They ended up leaving and going back inside to their shop because it stung their eyes and made their nostrils burn.

Makes me wonder about that tank farm at the base of Corridor G.

We'll never know what it was, but it sure did sting like hell.

It appeared that way because it came from the lower valley. When it got to the rail yard area (or if it originated in the rail yard) at South Charleston, it traveled up Jefferson Road holler then up Corr. G.
We headed out Corr. G and turned around at Jefferson Road when we realized what was happening. We then headed up to Elkview and by the time we reached Mink Shoals, the air was clear.
I later heard that it was hazy as far as Goldtown, but I didn't get up that way till late.

My honey grew up in an area in which smokers has LESS pulmonary troubles than nonsmokers. The theory was that the smokers had a coating of tar on their lungs, and when the acidic stuff in the air hit their lungs, it burned off the tar instead of the lungs.

And we wonder why allergy specialists and pulmonologists hav a field day in this area.
