The next worse president of the United States!

If all goes the way things often go in America, the proles will elect the worse candidate with the most half asses insane ideas this fall. If that transpires, which I wouldn't be surprised to see, the winner in Nov. will be Mike Huckabee. "President Huckabee." How's that sound? Aww shucks, he's such a nice guy and so approachable.

He's also a fucking moron. We're talking MoronMonkeyBoy George Bush fucking moron status here. The only thing that differentiates him from a moron like Bush the Chimp is that he has some definite ideas. Ideas that are completely absurd and belong to only those in the lunatic fringe, but ideas nonetheless.

Let's look at some of those ideas.

In Michigan Huckabee told us all about how he would defend the Constitution of the United States. Well, not exactly "defend," but "change." Yup, he said we need to change the Constitution of the United States. He proposes that we need to change our constitution so that it is 'aligned with God's word.' Really, no shit. He wants to make changes to the Constitution of the United States so that it is brought in line with all the uber christian dogma that he preaches on Sunday mornings. Don't forget, this buffoon is a FUNDAMENTALIST southern baptist preacher. Don't believe me? Look it up. I sat in front of my TV gobsmacked listening to the speech he gave somewhere in the great white northland of Michigan where he discussed how his administration would align the Constitution of the United States with God's laws.

You think that's scarey? Check out his tax plan. This mental titan wants to abolish all income and payroll taxes and only have a federal sales tax. He's talking about enacting a tax system where every single dollar you spend is taxed by the federal gov't at 23%. That means everything from luxury automobiles to the dollars you give the kid down the street for baby sitting. Guess who is going to get screwed using such a formula. . . the people who spend the largest percentage of their income on goods and services, the middle class. Once again, the rich will pay less while the middle class gets scewed again. Of course the poor and working class will get fucked as usual. . . nothing new there. Such a system would be ripe for having huge portions of the economy go underground. Lots of tax free bartering and delivery of goods and under the table dealings of all kinds. It would be a nightmare.
But surely he can't be serious, right? Wrong. This imbecile is serious as a heart attack about this system of taxation. He sees it as the end all be all of fair taxes in America. Go ahead, look it up. This is all a part of a lunatic fringe movement called "FairTax" which is strongly supported by lots of rich people.

Ya wanna hear some more great stuff from this ignorant rube? Check out his stand on immigration. We're talking sealing the borders with this guy. Yea, he talks about preventing terrorism by disallowing people from Islamic countries and protecting American jobs from those Mexicans, but the message is clear. . . "No brown people allowed!" Especially if you aint Christian

You think that's dumb?! Well you aint seen nuthin yet. Guess what this fucktard believes. . . no really, go ahead guess. No fair, you read one of my previous posts.
This fucking Neanderthal knuckle dragger believes that Bible mythology is more accurate than scientific fact. No! Really. I fucking swear. The candidates were asked at a debate who among them didn't believe in evolution and this backwater preacher raised his hand. He has since dodged the issues and walked all around it, but he still makes it clear that he believes that evolution is not the way life came to be on planet Earth. This is a person who believes in sky pixies with magic twangers. Check it out for yourself. This brilliant scholar believes that creationism should be taught in the science classroom. Fucking brilliant.

How about his stand on women's rights: Mikey signed a statement in 1998 that pronounced the official view of the Southern Baptist convention.
"A wife is to submit graciously to the servant leadership of her husband even as the church willingly submits to the headship of Christ," . . . "You are right because you called wives to graciously submit to their husband's sacrificial leadership."
Whoa. . . he also doesn't believe women should be near combat conditions. Why? "because of my strong traditional view that women should be treated with respect and dignity." Who wants to decipher that little bit of misogynist code?

So I figure that between the "evangelicals" and the other right wing shit-for-brain-proles, this is their guy. He's right up there with MoronMonkeyBoy Bush the Chimp when it comes to lack of intellect and experience, but hey, he's a nice guy to those who can't see the evil behind the smile.
Get used to it folks: President Huckabee and his god squad cabinet.

You may actually be more ignorant than Schmuckabee. I don't support Schmuckabee, because the one thing we agree on is he's a whacko evangelical who denies evolution.

But I don't know if you're misrepresenting other of his positions on purpose, or if you're just too slack-jaw hillbilly inbred stupid to understand them.

This is their guy? He sure as hell isn't my guy.

I like Mike. The only hillbilly is the moron who publishes this blog, but moron that later...

Wow, the right wing whack jobs come out of the closet for that post. I figured that shit-for-brains candidate would draw a few flies.
But PeePee, please tell me exactly what positions of the candidate in question I've "misrepresented."
If all you've got are insults and lies, go on back to your gopher hole.
Yes Ian, I'm a hillbilly, but certainly not the only one. . . but perhaps I'm not reading you correctly as your writing skills seem a bit primitive.

Shillbilly, I'm sorry... I guess I misunderstood. I thought you encouraged wild-assed assertions with no credible support. Aren't you the famous West Virginian, Sagacious "we-don't-need-no-stinkin'-methodology" Hillbilly?

Why should I have more than insults and lies? Isn't that the accepted currency on your blog? Since when do you traffic in anything else?

Schmuckabee is not a "no brown people allowed" candidate. It's campaign propaganda. Check his record on immigration as governor of Arkansas, you nitwit. Arkansas was practically a sanctuary state under his administration.

The Fair Tax (federal sales tax) is not supported by most rich people. Why? Because they are much more advantaged by the myriad loopholes in the current, byzantine tax code. The Fair Tax proposal allows no exemptions, and offers a monthly 'prebate' to cover the consumption tax spent on necessities up to the federal poverty level. Theoretically, this makes the Fair Tax progressive. Also, used goods, as defined by the proposal, are not taxed, so low income families, who already tend to buy used goods, are not taxed on those purchases. It also eliminates the regressive FICA payroll tax that unfairly burdens low income earners.

It doesn't create an 'underground economy', and, in fact, helps to relieve the existing one. There are provisions covering barter in the Fair Tax proposal. But untaxed commerce, such as prostitution, drug trade and illegal gambling, end up being taxed, because members of those economies have to buy consumables, too.

Look, we need some sort of comprehensive tax reform, but I don't support the Fair Tax as proposed. I don't support it, however, because I've made an informed study of it. I don't simply rail stupidly against Fair Tax straw men, and try to scare people with half-truths and slander. That's your job. You personify the "ignorant prole" you rant about, and then you have the ironic temerity to defend your uninformed, ignorant prole rants as if you're the enlightened one.

Makes me chuckle

PeePee, Yea, it is obvious that you are the enlightened one. . . enlightened with Google, Yahoo and all the other search engines that you employ. That's great, and yes, I do encourage dissent here at SH, but not lies and fabrications. Like you, I used various search engines to find Huckabee quotes, positiion papers, copies of speeches, etc. to draw my information from. Did I then cast it in a negative light? GASP! Perhaps I did. So fucking what? Am I supposed to cast it to fit YOUR agenda? I don't think so bozo.
So go ahead, post your pompous bombastic arrogant tripe. Do it here at SagaciousHillbilly. I'll let it pass. You might as well do it here since no one reads that bullshit you post over at your blog. . . but then you don't post much, do you? You'd rather come here and rant and rave where you know you've got an audience even if the audience does find you nothing more than a theater of the absurd. Just like a little kid looking for any kind of attention he can get. Wassamatter? The "wife" cut you off?
Oh, and like I said before, don't tell me about methodology. I spent 30 yrs doing world class scientific research and I don't need some washed up actor wannabe telling me whether I need or don't need "methodology."
BWAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

The Practical Pundit said...

Nice spin, even if a bit transparent and desperate. Ever thought of a job as a campaign manager? You could put those "world class" [snort!] research skills to work.

Did I then cast it in a negative light? GASP! Perhaps I did. So fucking what? Am I supposed to cast it to fit YOUR agenda?

Cast it in a negative light, or completely make stupid crap up because you're not bright enough to understand what you Google? Do you serve up integrity on a sliding fee scale? Har! You're such a hoot. No cartoon was ever funnier, and without doubt you are a cartoon.

What, exactly, is MY agenda, oh SagaciousHillbilly [snort!] ? Shill, you're easier than the TV Guide crossword.

PeePee, Really, your retorts are hardly worth the effort. I thought you were the lever enlightened one?
You responses aren't any more creative or clever than . . . well, . . . mine.
I had come to expect so much more from you.

I am glad however that I provide you with some humor in your otheriwse boring midwestern day. It must be quite the break to read my stuff while vegging out out there in the flat unenlightened and unimaginably boring plains.

The Practical Pundit said...

PeePee, Really, your retorts are hardly worth the effort.

Yet here you are, making the effort. Of course, your replies never speak to the substance of the questions/refutations I submit, they just (attempt to) make fun of me, of Iowa, of things you barely comprehend..., and they contain a lot of remarks like, "Yeah, yeah, I already knew that..." when your original post makes it clear you didn't. Oh, and every now and then you embellish your fantasy resume (world class researcher... Har!).

You invited me here, Shill, and cajoled me until I actually made an appearance. Careful what you wish for....

SagaciousHillbilly said...

Come on PeePee, all you're doing is ranting and raving. But that's ok if it feels good to ya. I know how much you like to posture.
As for my resume. . . I don't have to "embellish" it in the least. I have a very impressive work history by anyone's standards. Some on a "world class" level, especially that which involved my work life in the corporate environment. But you'll notice by my posts here I pay little homage to my background or past acheivements and only focus on what's in front of me. I find that's the best way to go through life. Hmm, maybe that's why I've had some modicum of success? What do you think?
Yea, I did invite you here. Glad you made it. Feel free to comment on whatever you'd like anytime you'd like.
Careful though. There's a few folks around here that see right through pompous bullshit, arrogant meanderings and intellectual posturing. They're liable to be less benevolent than I am about it all.

I've never been formally diagnsed with ADD but I do think I could possibly have it. I would be interested in what you read that makes you think I may have it.

Oh, and Huckabee sucks *dodges flying vegetables*

Yeah, that's me all over. That's why I posted I was a world class researcher (no, wait, you did that). And why I posted how hard I'm working on that new building, moving 50 bales of hay, liming my fields (oops! you again). And that's why I suggested Barack Obama abandon his identity and integrity and white-wash himself with the name Barry (damn! that was you, too). And that's why I link to Shark-Fu's blog about political involvement, even though I exemplify the type of say-everything-do-nothing buffoon that's contrary to everything she says (crap! that's you again). That's why every time you make a knowledgeable, informed post on an issue I dismissively imply that all you did was Google something up (sorry, reverse that... you've never made a knowledgeable, informed post, therefore there's no basis for assuming you even know how to Google).

SagaciousHillbilly said...

OK PeePee. That's some really great stuff there. Keep up the good work.
Hope to see you back again soon.

Just gonna poke my nose in to agree a about Huckabee- a dangerous man, though an annoying one, because he has these moments of "Christian Charity" that makes him almost likeable, like being willing to actually raise taxes to pay for state services. Of course, that makes him persona-non-grata with the knee-jerk NeoCons. And then there's this whole thing about making the Constitution over in the shape of the Bible. Uh uh.

At this point my prediction is that they are going into the Convention deadlocked and Mittster is gonna be the nominee. Now THERE'S a dangerous, lying, pointless, gutless, unfeeling, moronic asshole (and he was guv'nor of my state, so I know what a foul bag of wind he really is).

SagaciousHillbilly said...

Col., Ya wanna just dismiss these guys as a bunch of right wing extremists who only appeal to a narrow band of midwest and sothern fundamentalist morons, but that's what many of us did with MoronMonkeyBoy Bush the Chimp.
Yea, these guys are dangerous.
Oh, and wassup with Massachewsit electing a prick like Romney for govna? How the fuck did that happen?

Forrest Proper said...

Romney was a Moderate-Progressive back then. This is a guy who claimed, when running against Ted Kennedy for Senate a few years ago, that he would be a more forceful advocate for gay rights than Teddy. This is a guy who said that while he opposed abortion personally, he would never advocate or support legislation affecting that right.

All those flip-flop tags he gets labeled with are quite accurate- the Mitt Romney running for President bears no relation whatsoever to the Mitt who ran for Guv'nor here.

But don't look at me- I never voted for him nor trusted that he was ever telling the truth about anything.

...and when the idiot gives a speech..it is a frikkin sermon. I don't trust the man at all...will stay with my own philosophies. nice blog.

Mr. Huckabee's advocacy of the FairTax is the single most important policy position in this election. Here's why:

The FairTax rate of 23 percent on a total taxable consumption base of $11.244 trillion will generate $2.586 trillion dollars – $358 billion more than the taxes it replaces. [BHKPT]

The FairTax has the broadest base and the lowest rate of any single-rate tax reform plan. [THBP]

Real wages are 10.3 percent, 9.5 percent, and 9.2 percent higher in years 1, 10, and 25, respectively than would otherwise be the case. [THBNP]

The economy as measured by GDP is 2.4 percent higher in the first year and 11.3 percent higher by the 10th year than it would otherwise be. [ALM]

Consumption benefits [ALM]:

• Disposable personal income is higher than if the current tax system remains in place: 1.7 percent in year 1, 8.7 percent in year 5, and 11.8 percent in year 10.

• Consumption increases by 2.4 percent more in the first year, which grows to 11.7 percent more by the tenth year than it would be if the current system were to remain in place.

• The increase in consumption is fueled by the 1.7 percent increase in disposable (after-tax) personal income that accompanies the rise in incomes from capital and labor once the FairTax is enacted.

• By the 10th year, consumption increases by 11.7 percent over what it would be if the current tax system remained in place, and disposable income is up by 11.8 percent.

Over time, the FairTax benefits all income groups. Of 42 household types (classified by income, marital status, age), all have lower average remaining lifetime tax rates under the FairTax than they would experience under the current tax system. [KR]

Implementing the FairTax at a 23 percent rate gives the poorest members of the generation born in 1990 a 13.5 percent improvement in economic well-being; their middle class and rich contemporaries experience a 5 percent and 2 percent improvement, respectively. [JK]

Based on standard measures of tax burden, the FairTax is more progressive than the individual income tax, payroll tax, and the corporate income tax. [THBPN]

Charitable giving increases by $2.1 billion (about 1 percent) in the first year over what it would be if the current system remained in place, by 2.4 percent in year 10, and by 5 percent in year 20. [THPDB]

On average, states could cut their sales tax rates by more than half, or 3.2 percentage points from 5.4 to 2.2 percent, if they conformed their state sales tax bases to the FairTax base. [TBJ]

The FairTax provides the equivalent of a supercharged mortgage interest deduction, reducing the true cost of buying a home by 19 percent. [WM]

ALERT: Kotlikoff refutes Bruce Bartlett's shabby critiques of the FairTax.
