Remember Megan Williams the black woman who was held hostage for a week and tortured in the worse physical ways down in Southern West Virginia as month or so ago? Her story is old news and we wouldn't be hearing much about it if it weren't for a group of folks led by one Mr. Malik Shabazz of the Black Lawyers for Justice Group who have decided to rally at the capital building because hate crime charges have yet to be brought againist the low life pieces of shit who held Miss Williams captive.

Observations on the passing scene
ONE of the leaders of the planned march this week in Charleston on behalf of rape victim Megan Williams has a history of inflammatory comments.
Malik Shabazz of the New Black Panther Party has been exposed numerous times in national reports for his racist and anti-Semitic remarks.
The Anti-Defamation League Web site contains several pages of incendiary comments and views by Shabazz.
Here's one comment from the "Black Holocaust Conference" in 1995:
"The Caucasians and the government are arrogant, telling us how to suffer.
America should be glad that every black man is not on a killing spree for all the suffering they have done."
First they tried to demonize Miss Willians by publishing every little minor encounter she ever had with the law (and believe me, the couple of items were VERY minor). Now they are taking apart the leader of the protestors who are tired of waiting weeks and mmonths for the Logan county prosecutors to press hate crime charges against these recreant animals. That is some really seriously fucked up shit.
Well, the white caucasian government is arrogant and it does try to tell minority victims how to heal (from the ills the white society gave them), how to fix their communities (that the white gov't created) and how to run every aspect of their lives. Their solutions never work.
And yes, it is lucky for us white people that Blacks, Native Americans and some of the old school Asians in this country are not as aggressive and hateful as we are. Otherwise they would be teariing this country apart along with giving us a taste of the genocide we perpetrated against them for hundreds of years. I am often amazed at the restraint and congeniality of minority people I know. I'd be a raging maniac and at this point in my life, probably dead if the history of my people was laced with the same type of things as their history.
My white brothers and sisters: live with it. Do something constructive about it. Demonizing those who speak the truth, no matter how badly it shakes your foundation does nothing but perpetrate more of the same old racist bullshit.
I hope to see some white faces in the crowd when they rally at the capital.

Invasion of the worse kind
This hillbilly don't do personal shit on a blog very often, and when I do, it's not all that personal. It's usually just some excuse for me to rant and rave at all y'all dumb prole asses, so what I'm about to tell you must be of some importance. . . I'm not sure why, but it just seems that way.
Hillbilly sagaciously relented yesterday and had himself a colonoscopy. Shut the fuck up before I come back there with my dogs. Aint fuckin funny. Believe me, any time someone stick something way far or even just a little ways up my ass it aint funny and in almost every case somebody's gonna get hurt really bad. This hillbilly's ass has a big tattoo on the inside of it's cheek that say "One Way" and an arrow pointing away from my sphincter. My ass only gives, it don't receive. I'll leave that other direction stuff up to AngryMan and other less than manly individuals.
They say when a person turns 50 they should immediately have a colonoscopy. Well, I turned 50 a few years back and have told my wonderful and all knowing family doctor "yea, yea, I'll have one" a number of times. He even scheduled them for me twice, butt in the end (bwaaahaha, I crack myself up! (get it, "crack?)) I intentionally "forgot the appointments" So the last time I saw him for a general check up after having a stress test, chest x-ray and blood work, he told me that since I was in such good shape and possibly on track to live a long healthy life (news which he told my wife was good for me, bad for her), I WAS going to get one of those insidiously invasive examinations. OK, so I relented and went with the program.
To begin with, you have to go through a 24 hour period where you don't consume anything but "clear liquids" and you take some horrible tasting liquids that purge every last tiny bit of matter from your intestinal track. During the last 12 hours, you can't drink ANYTHING. Then you show up at the clinic and first the intake persona says in a very cheery voice, "hi, how are we doing today." My response was, in a very stern voice, "I am tired, hungry, thirsty and my ass hurts bad. I don't know how you are and I don't care." She replied "Well good, I just have to ask you a few questions" and proceeded to ask me one hundred and fifty questions that every doctors office and every clinic, hospital lab and any other medical establishment asks you when you walk in the door. I then had to fill out and sign 126 pages of papers, again the same 126 pages of papers you fill out at every medical office. She them printed out a huge pile of papers and stapled six copies of my driver's license and insurance card to each of six piles she made, handed me one pile and THEN I was given instructions to see the NEXT receptionist down the stairs and to the right. When is the medical community going to develop a standard ID card that contains all of a person's medical information and history?
When I got down the stairs, a less friendly receptionist asked me "how are we doing today?" Same response, "hungry tired, thirsty and my ass hurts." She smiled a slightly annoyed smile back at me and asked me to have a seat. I told her I'd rather not sit.
Five minutes later a nurse opened the door and beckoned me into the bowels of the operation. Her first question was "how are wedoing today?" I began to tell her "I'm tired, hungry thirsty and my ass hurts," butt she cut me off with, we need to get you. . . . so I cut her off and said "you asked me how I was doing, don't you want to know?" She replied, "well yes, butt we have to get you moving since the doctor will be ready for you soon." That was a lie as the doctor showed up 20 minutes after I was all prepped and ready to be invaded.
I then went through a 45 minute process of getting prepped with no less than 5 nurses checking and double checking everything they did. This all culminated in the doctor coming in and telling the nurse to "go ahead" at which point she began intravenously injecting me with valium and another very strong sedative whose name escapes me at the moment. Now I remember why I quit doing drug a few years back. It really, really, really felt good, but it turned me into a total and complete idiot as opposed to the partial idiot I am on a daily basis.
I remember the doctor inserting the "probe" up my ass and I also remember requesting that he at least give me a kiss if he wasn't going to give me a reach around. I also remember a couple of the very serious nurses cracking up a few times when I said things like that. It took about 5 minutes . . . I'm guessing. They wheeled me to a recovery room where my wife came in and spent about ten minutes laughing at my sorry ass as huge amounts of air that they pump into your colon so they can have an easy 'look see' continued to be expelled by my colon.
No part of the process was fun . . .well, maybe the part where I got to tell those cheery voiced receptionists in my coldest voice "I'm tired, hungry, thirsty and my ass hurts" and maybe part of the IV sedative trip, but in the end, I have a clean bill of health and have been given the peace of mind of knowing that at the moment, I'm not threatened by one of the ugliest, most aggressive and fatal forms of cancer. Who wouldn't want to know that. OR, if I had had some precancerous polyps, why wouldn't I have wanted to go through 24 hours of inconvenience to have them removed. Had the early stages of cancer been detected, I might have been given a fighting chance.
The really stupid thing is to not get a colonoscopy when your doctor tells you to. We are all mortal and we're all going to die, but why not stay as healthy as we can for as long as we can? Isn't the peace of mind worth 24 hours of inconvenience. Nobody is so important or so busy that they can't take 24 hours to avoid colon cancer.
See y'all down at the barnyard.

"Terrorism" and Ignorant Proles
Ok all you dumb fuck ignorant proles, let's go over this again. Pay fucking attention this time!!!
A bunch of half crazed Islamic fundamentalist buffoons are not the 'biggest threat to this country that we've ever seen.' In fact, they are little threat at all.
Listen up bozo, I lived through the cold war when the USSR had 10,000 missles pointed at the United States. When, with the push of a button, every city and every inhabitant of those cities and a hundred miles around would have been wiped off the face of the Earth within minutes of pushing the button. Not only were the cities targeted, but all industrial areas and important agricultural centers. There would have only been a very small population of slack jawed rural rubes like me left walking in the USA.
How about the Germans who defeated most of Europe and threatened the very existence of our country. Can you imagine the imperative and amount of effort it took to defeat and contain that threat. At the same time, the Japanese attacked us on our soil and threatened to wipe out our economy and way of life. Either one of those threats make the threat of "Islamic terrorism" look like a tiny fly on a cow's ass. It is an insult to the great people who fought and defeated the enemy in WWII to say that "Islamic terrorism is somehow a major threat to our existence."
Remember learning about the war between the states, better known as The Civil War or have you forgetten EVERYTHING you've ever been taught? Was that not a far greater threat to our existence than some handfull of mid easterners running around with used rifles, a few RPGs and with no better weapons than a hijacked airliner? Again, you insult the tens of thousands who lost their lives preserving the union by saying Islamic terrorist are the biggest threat we've ever had.
People, listen, we have the biggest and badest military in the history on the world. We spend 600 billion dollars a year on our military. Are we to sit around with our security shaken and shivering in our bunkers over a few suicidal whack jobs? Come on, let's get real. Let's put things into perspective.
Do you know what the chances are of you getting even hurt an a terrorist attack? Almost nothing. . . zilch, aint gonna happen. Do you know what the chances are of you getting hurt or killed in a car accident? Very high. It's a big possibility. How many people do you know who have been killed or hurt in a vehicle accident?
In the past 20 years, how many Americans do you think have been killed in terrorist attacks? Well, I'd like to tell you, but it seems to be a statistic that's hard to find. Seems no one in the government has made that information available and no one seems to be able to decide what is terrorism and what's not when you try and compile the stats. I can tell you that 45,000 people died on America's highways last year and there were 2,974 deaths on 9/11. That is 6.6% of the yearly highway deaths in America. How many Americans were killed by terrorists on American soil last year?
Wouldn't the billions of dollars being spent on "the war on terrorism" be better spent making our highways safer? How many deaths could be avoided if we took 10% of the money spent on "the war on terror" and applied it to highway safety and improvement (could we get a little blacktop out here)?
As the moronic proles tremble in their homes convinced that terrorists are lurking in the dark, they drink alcohol to excess, smoke tobacco, eat foods that are of little or no nutritional value and in fact contribute to bad health, partake of recreational drugs, and engage in high risk behaviors for entertainment. That's what's going to kill you bozo, not some mid easterner with a bomb.
Meanwhile, the US government refuses to release a report done (with your tax dollars) assessing air safety in America. That's right, they won't tell you how safe or unsafe it is for you to get on a commercial airliner and fly to your destination, but they will try and brainwash you into thinking terrorists are lurking around every corner.
So why are Americans willing to give up constitutional liberties, alter their lifestyles and generally submit to whatever is asked of them in the name of "fighting terrorism?" The answer is simple. . . you're all a mass of pitiful desperate buffoons who have never been taught to think for yourself and critically analyze anything. You gulp whatever jizz the media and government spew in your face. You're idiots.
So I have one thing to say to all these presidential candidates who are running on the idea that 'terrorism is the greatest threat to our nation.' FUCK YOU! And fuck all you ignorant idiotic proles who buy into this line of horse shit. You don't deserve to have decent intellectual candidates running for president if you're dumb fuck enough to believe that stupid line of total bullshit. You also don't deserve the liberties and freedoms that so many have given their lives for simply to have you squander it away to the first bunch of fascist pigs that talk sweet to you or make threats against your "homeland security."
Welcome to America 2007. It's a lot like Orwell's 1984.

Human created disasters
Why do we have to stand in line feeling sorry for people who place themselves and their families in harms way and then get harmed?
I know, it's hard to move from a place where you grew up, so I guess second generation and above folks should get some of our sympathy? I dunno. I moved away from the place I grew up because I saw disaster coming in the form of immigrants from the big city moving in and was smart enough not to move someplace where I was likely to have my life destroyed by earthquake, flood, hurricane or wildfire. People will do what they have to do to survive. Maybe some of the young people living in vulnerable places are simply uninformed?
Why do people populate places like this? I remember looking up at the Mississippi River from downtown New Orleans thinking "what the fuck?" I wouldn't spend the night in the shadow of a gigantic mass of water looming over me like that. . . WAY too creepy. And again, I understand that a lot of people get stuck in places like this, but wouldn't it be more cost effective for the gov't to work towards moving people out of harms way rather than supporting them within harm's way. . . or in the case of New Orleans, NOT supporting them?
How about these Southern Caleefornia morons? Did you see those houses that were burning? Most of them were mansions. Tennis courts, swimming pools, sweeping broad roof lines. . . these weren't poor people residences. Why didn't they have fire lines around their homes? Not too bright? How about fire proof roofs and siding? surely if you have a million dollar house you can afford a few tens of thousands of dollars in fireproofing. I have some in-laws who live in a forested area in Northern Caleefornia. They've got brush and tall pine trees right up to their wood clad house on all side. If a fire sweeps through the area, there will be nothing left. Would I feel sorry for them? Maybe, on some level, but geez, these are educated people who really ought to know better. So if their house burns because they were too stupid or lazy to clear the brush and trees from around their house and install a tin roof and aluminum siding, I'm not going to feel real bad for them or be in favor of any of my tax dollars bailing them out.
Have you ever seen the enormous mansion houses perched on hillsides in the Hollywood Hills? Oh, it's a sight to behold. When the first big one hits the West LA area those things are going to go down faster than a 5 dollar whore with a 50 dollar bill in her face.
The Outer Banks of North Carolina is another place where insane people congregate. They have almost every foot of ocean coast line available covered in big luxury homes on stilts. These things are huge and beautiful, but the first big hurricane that plows through will take them right out to sea. It happens. If you look at the communities along the Banks, you will notice that they are all tucked into wooded areas on the sound side of the islands. People who live there aren't stupid enough to live next to the ocean. So how do I feel when a hurricane sweeps up the Atlantic coast and takes out a thousand ocean side half million dollar homes? Not very sympathetic. Even when I see the sobbing home owner standing in front of their vacant lot I gotta just snicker and think "moron."
So sorry if this makes me a bad person, but fuck these idiots who put themselves smack dab in front of catastrophe and then want our sympathy and tax dollars when catastrophe doesn't go around them. You gambled and you lost and I don't have to cover your ass.

More American justice: Georgia style
Ga court: Release man jailed in sex case
By DANIEL YEE, Associated Press
ATLANTA - Georgia's Supreme Court on Friday ordered the release of a young man who has been imprisoned for more than two years for having consensual oral sex with another teenager.
The court ruled 4-3 that Genarlow Wilson's 10-year sentence was cruel and unusual punishment.
Wilson, 21, was convicted of aggravated child molestation following a 2003 New Year's Eve party at a Douglas County hotel room where he was videotaped having oral sex with a 15-year-old girl. He was 17 at the time.
So what do you think? If Genarlow had been a white middle or upper class kid named "Josh" from the burbs would he have spent 2 years in jail of a 10 year sentence for having oral sex with a girl two years younger than he when he was 17?
Genarlow Wilson sits in prison despite being a good son, a good athlete and high school student with a 3.2 GPA. He never had any criminal trouble. On the day he was to sit for the SAT, at seventeen years old, his life changed forever. He was arrested. In Douglas County he was accused of inappropriate sexual acts at a News Year’s Eve party. A jury acquitted him of the allegation of Rape but convicted him of Aggravated Child Molestation for a voluntary act of oral sex with another teenager. He was 17, and she was 15.

American Intellect
And speaking about how fucking stupid the moronic proles are:
That's the spirit: Belief in ghosts high
By ALAN FRAM and TREVOR TOMPSON, Associated Press
WASHINGTON - Those things that go bump in the night? About one-third of people believe they could be ghosts.
And nearly one out of four, 23 percent, say they've actually seen a ghost or felt its presence, finds a pre-Halloween poll by The Associated Press and Ipsos.
One is Misty Conrad, who says she fled her rented home in Syracuse, Ind., after her daughter began talking to an unseen girl named Nicole and neighbors said children had been murdered in the house. That was after the TV and lights began flicking on at night.
"It kind of creeped you out," Conrad, 40, of Hampton, Va., recalled this week. "I needed to get us out."
WTF?! How do we expect to survive as a modern nation when 1/2 the population believes in ghosts, way over half the population believes in mythological stories of creation rather than the real science of evolution and over half the population thiinks we should discontinue our space explortion program in favor of what, 100s of billions spent on war and lining the pockets of the corpo-fascists?
The stupid bitch above thinks her daughter's imaginary friends and a bad electrical situation is all about ghosts. Yea, you'd better get the fuck out of that house, it's about to burn down around you and you're too fucking stupid to see the obvious.
Fuck these dumb ignorant morons. When the nation crumbles and we're being tended to by the EU, China and Japan as a third world problem, the stupid uneducated American buffoonery will have gotten exactly what they deserve.

Hate, racist charges fly
Mayor, march organizer question other’s motives
By Gary Harki
Staff writer
Charleston’s mayor and the leader of a march to support Megan Williams traded insults and accused each other of promoting hate on Wednesday, 10 days before the event to support the 20-year-old black woman who was allegedly tortured by six white Logan County residents.
Mayor Danny Jones said Malik Shabazz, leader of the Black Lawyers for Justice group that is organizing the march, was a “hater” and was using the event to promote himself. Shabazz called Jones a racist and compared him to “a modern-day Bull Conner.”
Shabazz also wondered if city officials who want them to have $1 million in insurance for the event are singling them out. City officials say they are not.
Danny Jones is an ignorant little momma's boy rich kid who inherited gigantic sums of money that were originally made by his grandfather on the backs of West Virginia coal miners. He's an uneducated punk who has never worked an honest day in his life and has fucked up everything he has ever touched. Yes, Danny Jones is the perfect mayor for a neo-conservative city like Charleston, WV. He compliments Moron Monkey Boy, Bush the Chimp AND the governor of West Virginia who has similar credentials.
What's with these neo-cons and their willingness to elect the biggest moron they can find into office rather than a qualified well spoken candidate? I just don't get it.

Stereotypes and sports teams
OK, I'll admit, I'm not exactly a "sports fan." In fact, I find most sports to be worthless endeavors. I like to ski, hunt, fish, play some baseball. I even go to MLB games now and then, but a sports fan I am NOT.
That aside, it's kind of disgusting the things major league sports teams get away with. Take for example the Cleveland Indians. Here is the symbol of their team:
If that's ok by you, how about this, The Afros:
Do you like the symbol of the Washington "Redskins" better?
"Redskin" is considered a very derogatory term by Native American people. Would you support a team called the "Negros" or the "Niggers" with a characature of a black man in profile as the team symbol?
Yea, it's just as bad as that.
The United States government committed genocide against the Native population of this land and now we adopt ridiculous characterizations and terms of them to use on our sports teams.
Hell, that's a good enough reason for me to not be a sports fan. Until major league sports decide to ban all such team names and references I support a total boycott of the industry. Fuck any industry that stereotypes and demeans any group of people just because of there racial heritage.
Thanks for the heads up on this Chris.

FEMA: "ahead of the requirement"
Southern California is burning. Yea, I know, Southern California burns every year, but this one is really bad. Over 350,000 acres have bured and over 1,000 houses have burned, 500,000 people have had to evacuate their homes, the Santa Anna winds are picking up and firefighters are "tapped out."
Things are totally out of control. . . well, actually from a natural point of view, they're well in control, but that's for another post.
In the midst of explaining all this conflagration, I just heard a FEMA spokesperson describe what a mess it all is. A reported then asked exactly what was being done about it and he said, 'blah, blah, blah, this from here that from there' than he made the absurd statement of the day. . . "We're well ahead of the requirement."
WTF? Somebody shoulda just walked up to this moron and just knocked the snot out of him. . .slap him all about the head and face. . . preferable someone whose house is in line to burn next.
These stupid bureaucrats memorize buzz words and phrases and throw them out randomly. Typical proletariat administrators.

Hopeless republican candidates
Ok, this guy has proven over and over again what a moron he is, but this one tops em all.
Romney slip: another Osama-Obama mix-up
By GLEN JOHNSON, Associated Press
GREENWOOD, S.C. - . . .
In the midst of criticizing Obama and other Democrats on foreign and economic policy Tuesday, the GOP presidential hopeful said:
"Actually, just look at what Osam — Barack Obama — said just yesterday. Barack Obama, calling on radicals, jihadists of all different types, to come together in Iraq. That is the battlefield. ... It's almost as if the Democratic contenders for president are living in fantasyland. Their idea for jihad is to retreat, and their idea for the economy is to also retreat. And in my view, both efforts are wrongheaded."
This ridiculous comment is a symptom of something else. Does this guy have worms in his brain? Is he no more mentally acute than George's Lenny? I mean, this is a mentally retarded thing to say, "slip of the tongue" or not.
We've witnessed each one of these republican contenders make morons of themselves. Is anyone other than the most absurd of ignorant proples going to vote for any of these stupid uninteresting, idiotic buffoons. Well, at least it's going to be entertaining.

Idiots in the news and elsewhere
Iowa? Gimme a break.
What's all the fuss about Iowa? Does Iowa represent America? Hardly. This is a state whose economy runs on agriculture. . . pigs, soybeans, chickens, beef and corn are what Iowa is all about. Not much else. It's a nice place to live, I'm sure (sure), but it certainly doesn't stand as a bellweather for America. America has an overall 80.2% white population, in Iowa it's 94.9%. In America, about 1 of 8 people are black, in Iowa it's 1 of 43.
Fuck Iowa. Who care who Iowa wants to run for president. The only thing making Iowa relevant is the main stream media looking for a story and the candidates looking for some advantage.
5 states could lose half GOP delegates
By STEPHEN OHLEMACHER, Associated Press Writer
WASHINGTON - Republican Party leaders on Monday recommended punishing five states for shifting their nomination contests earlier, moving to strip New Hampshire, Florida, South Carolina, Michigan and Wyoming of half their delegates.
So the republican party feels that they can punish a state and the people who reside there by taking away their representation. That's an interesting concept that I wouldn't want to see applied to our republic. Remember King George? The Sons of Liberty threw a ship load of his tea into Boston Harbor because of taxation without representation.
These corpo-fascist pricks are dangerous to our freedom with their twisted ideas.
Religious Right's tough call
The Christian Science Monitor - Mon Oct 22, 4:00 AM ET
WASHINGTON - After two days of wooing by all the Republican presidential candidates, religious conservatives appear no more in agreement on whom to support than they did going in.
Here's another group of people who are irrelevant. These morons have been thinking they have influence when Moron Monkey Boy, Bush the Chimp has proven that they are irrelevant. Bush has ignored the religious fundamentalists in this country. Hell, he's pretty much ignored the religious fundamentalists everywhere except where it makes his puppet masters more money. The religious fundamentalist Bin Laden was the first to be ignored even though he master minded the attack on this country of 9/11/01.
Fuck the religious fundamentalists. We've had enough of those ignorant slack jawed morons. Let em go live in Iowa.
Bush asks for $46 billion more for wars
AP
WASHINGTON - President Bush asked Congress for $46 billion more to bankroll wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and said he wants the money approved by Christmas. The fighting in Iraq, in its fifth year, already has cost more than $455 billion.
I'll bet the democrats give it to him. . . by the time he wants it. They are the biggest bunch of loser politicians ever. So far they've caved in to the corpo-fascists right on down the line. I'm sure $46 billion for more of the same old same old in Iraq and to line the corpo-fascist pockets will be slid right into their hands. Hell, the dems know that they can be beaten like school yard wimps by these national traitors if they take a mind to start thumping in '08.
Fuck the democrats in congress. I'm sick of these traitors.
NASA sits on air safety survey
AP - Mon Oct 22, 6:27 PM ET
MOFFETT FIELD, Calif. - An unprecedented national survey of pilots by the U.S. government has found that safety problems like near collisions and runway interference occur far more frequently than previously recognized. But the government is withholding the information, fearful it would upset air travelers and hurt airline profits.
See, big brother knows what is best for you. You are an ignorant prole who can't handle the truth about your air safety. You're STUPID! The government is telling you that in no uncertain terms.
Fuck these totalitarian pricks. I want to know what the fuck is going on. Do you or are you really a slack jawed ignorant prole?
Chertoff waives laws for border fence
Mon Oct 22, 4:57 PM ET
WASHINGTON - Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff on Monday invoked his power to bypass certain laws to restart construction of a fence on the Arizona-Mexico border. . .
Work on nearly two miles of the fence had been suspended since Oct. 10, when a federal district judge ordered a delay on its construction.. . .
Congress gave Chertoff the power to waive environmental and other laws to build border barriers when it passed the REAL ID Act in 2005.
Huh? Just like the power to tap your phone without getting a warrant. Shit like this astounds me. Welcome to America 2007. It's a fucked up fascist country we live in.
Will the dems do anything to give back our freedoms and restore the laws of the land?
Hell no. They haven't done anything yet and went along with this horse shit when it originally passed.

The Great Generation
As I get older the "great generation" gets really older. In fact, they are dying off quickly. We'll soon be counting down as the last few survivors of the great middle years of the 20th Century pass on from this world.
This is the generation that raised my generation. We had a front row seat to their accomplishments, moments of glory and the stories they told of their younger years. I feel like I really understand that generation much better than my own. It's kinda like having a better idea of what your partner looks like than yourself. We watched with wonder as the events perpetrated by "the great generation" unfolded.
Now, don't get me wrong, this generation was my parents. The first time I heard them called "The Great Generation" I wanted to puke. I've had a few good reasons for despising these people and viewing them as a bunch of cold and unquestioning bunch of proles, but that's just a little part of the story. Try and look beyond your own prejudices.
There are three really monumental things that I believe the people of the 40s (that's how I've always thought of them) accomplished. 1) They fought a huge war in a decisive and clearly articulated manner. 2) They accomplished some level of racial desegregation and 3) They put a man on the Moon.
There is one other event that shaped their lives even though they had nothing to do with the occurrence of that event; the Great Depression.
The Great Depression(they always just called it "The Depression") taught them that everything wasn't just going to be there for them and that they would have to work for whatever they got. The Depression saw millions of American men take to the highways in search of sustenance to support themselves and their families. I remember my mother and grandmother talking vividly about the events of the Depression that had occurred only recently on their timelines. How men would come to my grandmother's door asking to do some bit of work just for something to eat. My grandfather always had a job on the railroad, so they believed their house was marked as one where the homeless and transient men could get something to eat. They would tell me of how there would sometimes be a few fellow sitting on the porch eating a piece of bread and butter or jelly or some soup. They loved to tell the story of how my grandfather came home one winter day without his new coat and explained to my grandmother that the guy he saw down at the train station needed it more than he did since he had another old one in the closet.
This was the spirit within which the Great Generation often operated and the one within which I was taught to exist.
World War II changed everything for them. Suddenly, as they entered the 40s, what appeared like a turning of the economy and for once in their life a little prosperity, turned into a nightmare of catastrophic proportions. Hitler and the Japanese become the complete focus of their anger and wrath. On the home-front, people learned to sacrifice without question and to support the war effort at all cost, because afterall, everyone's husband, son, brother, uncle or cousin were off fighting and many many of them were dying. Not using your car, having rations for things like flour, milk, coffee and petroleum products seemed trivial in light of how the young men of their generation were sacrificing. There was no questioning of authority by this generation in such circumstances. They sacrificed, they fought and they were victorious in a clear and concise manner that everyone could understand, everyone felt a part of and everyone could mark with a specific day when it happened. VE and VJ day lives in the hearts of all from that generation.
The great generation came home from war and set about to created a great nation and a better world. Sure, there were horrible things that happened and they certainly had their share of transgressions, but for the most part they wanted what was best for the country and supported the common good.
Some might argue that the civil rights movement is not something attributable to the great Generation. I disagree. It occurred during the years when they were making things happen. Dr. Martin Luther King is given credit for really making the civil rights movement happen. He was a member of the Great Generation. I believe I could rest my case right there. Yea, it was members of the Great Generation who fought AGAINST civil rights and desegregation, but it was also member of their generation who fought harder FOR civil rights and desegregation. People like Rosa Parks, Ralph Abernathy, Edgar D, Nixon, Medgar Evers and Dr. King and their many hundreds of counter parts and thousands of supporters in the NAACP, CORE, SCLC and other such organization were all members of the Great Generation. Lyndon Johnson, the U.S. president and white man who most prominently stood up and supported these heros of civil rights and their agenda, was a member of the Great Generation. This history is sometimes viewed as the core of Black History in America, but it is also the history of America in general and the things that happened under the watch of the Great Generation.
I love space and I love everything that happened in the 60s as man finally broke the bounds of gravity and traveled to a world outside our own. It was a fascinating time, perhaps one of the most fascinating times in history. It was an endeavor that, while fueled by a competition with another country to become the dominant power on Earth, had an overtone of overall human achievement and something done "in peace for all mankind." It was the Great Generation that accomplished these amazing feats of human activity.
It's hard to imagine the determination and creativity that it took to send men to the Moon and return them safely and not just once, but six times onto the surface, twice into lunar orbit and once in a heroic recovery of three men who had serious equipment malfunctions, looped around the moon and successfully came back to Earth. The steps that they took to get there were in themselves each amazing feats of discovery that pushed the frontiers of space farther and farther out until finally, they landed on the Moon.
I like to focus on the great astronauts who made the flights (if I name a few great ones I will leave out too many who were just as great), but there were others just as heroic. Heros like Max Faget who designed early NASA spacecraft or Werner Von Braun who was the greatest rocket scientist that ever lived and put the first American satellite into orbit and designed and built the mighty Saturn V rocket for the sole purpose of getting men from planet Earth to the Moon. Behind every larger than life hero of the Great Generation's space program there were tens of thousands of technicians and engineers who built the thousands of parts that went into all the various spacecraft and test facilities. The American space program from Mercury to Apollo was perhaps the greatest achievement of human endeavor and technological development. Without the support and committment of all the American tax payers, these accomplishments would never have occurred.
The American space program gave the world and the next generation a huge basket of new technologies to exploit. What happened to it? Not much. The next generation just didn't have the will, the drive or the integrity to make use of the gifts they were given. We have squandered away the technologies on nothing more than consumer goods and the technologies required for a super class of capitalists to slowly accumulate more and more of our national resources within the sphere of their own domain. "for all mankind" was simply a flash-in-the-pan ideal that went nowhere when given to the next generation. Our generation hasn't even left Earth orbit! Our own lobbs into space have been done with the equipment and technologies handed down to us from the previous generation. Even NASAs latest plans for putting men back on the Moon as simply reworked designs inherited from the 60s wizards. Such is the case for most technologies within our technological society. We just don't have the ingenuity and purposeful behaviors excersized by the past generation. Don't believe it? Take a look at the current crop of astronauts and compare them to the great ones who pioneered space flight. 'nuf said.
But this post isn't about the shortcomings of my generation. I don't really have a clear picture of my own generation. I'll leave that up to my children's generation to comment on, but one thing is for sure, the accomplishments we can take credit for are minor postscripts compared to how the Great Generation performed.
Hell, even environmental awareness and the movement that brought on the clean-up of our nation was brought about and nurtured by the Great Generation. Rachel Carson was a member of that generation. It was the generation that started the Environmental Protection Agency in this country and enacted the Clean Air and Clean Water Acts. They acted upon the ideals of Aldo Leopold and caused a great turnabout of culture. Remember the 60s and all the protesting us hippies did and social experimentation we performed? Yup, the Great Generation enabled all of that. I'd have been sitting in my local town park smoking dope with the rest of the slack jawed yokels on the $5 my mother would give me to "go to the movies" if my father hadn't handed me $50 and said "go do what you have to do" when I asked him if I could go to Washington. That took a lot of integrity for a man raised on unquestionable patriotism.
What's my point? I don't know, but think about the people around you who are in their 70s and 80s now. They probably experienced times and events that you can't imagine. Next time you get a chance to talk to someone like that, ask them about their life. Find out what they went though, where they've been and how they did the things they did and then tell your children about it. If we don't at least pass along the experiences of that generation, what will we have 50 years from now?
I know, someone is going to take great pride in pointing out the transgressions of the generation I am venerating in this post. OK, have at it. I doubt you are going to come up with anything that isn't floating around in my brain right now. Humanity is a ruthless set of players and there is a thread of inhumanity and downright barbarism that flows through every generation. That's not what I'm talking about, so can't I point out the positive aspects of these great people?
I'd love to hear the positive events and accomplishments of those who YOU know from the Great Generation.
See y'all down the barnyard.
This is the generation that raised my generation. We had a front row seat to their accomplishments, moments of glory and the stories they told of their younger years. I feel like I really understand that generation much better than my own. It's kinda like having a better idea of what your partner looks like than yourself.

How did we get here?
What pitiful condition we find ourselves in here in America 2007. The president, which represents (and believe me, that's all he does) the administrative branch of government has an unbelievably low approval rating of 24% according to the latest Zogby Poll. The congress, which are the legislative branch of government have an equally astounding low approval rating of 11%.
No president or congress, since approval ratings have been taken, have ever had approval ratings so low.
Just for a bench mark, Bill Clinton's lowest approval rating was 41% in mid '93. During the kangaroo court held by the republican congress in '98 and '99, Clinton's approval ratings hovered in the high 50s and up into the mid 60s.
When Jimmy Carter was villified by the right in their successful bid to get Reagan the Traitor elected amidst the Iranian hostage crisis, his approval rating only went as low as 34%.
Richard Nixon, when he had been all but impeached, was getting ready to be indicted of criminal offenses and was resigning his presidency had an approval rating equal to this sitting president of 24%. That's how bad it is for Bush.
The most astounding thing about a 24% approval rating is that it indicates that 1 of 4 Americans approve of the job this treasonous and moronic administration is doing as president. Who are these people and what kind of strong mind altering drugs are they consuming? What mental deficiency requires a person to stand by such a disasterous administration that has wrought such havoc upon the nation?
So what of congress? Well, this is the most ill thought of congress in history. Congress has always had a very low approval rating, but their current 11% is a real record. No wonder since they were elected to stop the war in Iraq and turn this country around from where it was going under republican control which was acting like a servant to the administrative branch. Now the democratic controlled congress is perceived as acting like a servant to the administrative branch. Every chance they've had to curb funding and turn around the erosion of constitutional rights has been turned down by them. They have delivered to this administration every thing they have demanded. In turn, the administration has taken every opportunity to attack the democrats in congress. No wonder people think these recreant politicians are not worthy of approval.
Are YOU sick of this shit yet? Can you look at the picture and put all ths inito perspective or is reality just too much for your feeble proletariat mind? Can you visualize where we were in the year 2000 and contrast that to where we are now? Are you capable of putting 9/11 into perspective or are you one of the ignorant masses that swallows it as it is fed to you by the main stream media and the corpo-fascist thugs?
Hint: It wouldn't be like this if the corpo-fascist weren't hell bent on accumulating more and more of our national resources in their own pockets at the expensee of the middle class, the working class and the poor.

Where food comes from
Lets talk food here for a minute. Do you know where your food comes from?
If you are the typical consumer, you buy 60% of your food at a food store, the majority of which comes from corporate chain grocery stores. The other 40% comes from restaurants, institutional cafeterias and other sources of prepared ready to eat food (look up the numbers yourself and post a reference, this aint no damn academic term paper).
So when you spend a dollar at the food store, how much of that dollar goes into the pocket of Mr. Green Jeans the farmer? Almost none, if any.
72 cents of every dollar goes toward some corporate entity that handles the food after it leaves the farm and 28 cents of every dollar spent on food goes to the farm that produces the food, but where and what is that farm. More often than not, that farm is a gigantic mechanized crop or animal factory supported by the same corporation that sucks up much of the rest of your food dollar. Companies like Conagra, Archer Daniels, Midland, and Pepsico buy food at the cheapest price possible from huge corporate farms that they indirectly finance and then they transport, process and package that food for the supermarket consumer or restaurant. This food is produced as fast and as cheaply as possible. Huge amounts of fertilizers and herbicides are used in crop production. Those chemical products are just that, chemical products produced in chemical plants from raw materials. We're not talking pelletized cow shit here, we're talking about ammonium nitrates, ammonium phosphates, potassium chloride, and other compounds that come from such things as coal, natural gas and sulfur and other ores. Not a pretty thought that your groceries are grown using fertilizers manufactured from something as full of poisonous organic compounds as coal and natural gas.
You don't want to know what it's like for the millions and millons of meat animals that are produced in this country. . . . but I'll give you a brief glimpse. These animals are fed feeds that are grown by methods below the standard for crops grown for direct human consumption. Then these feeds are mixed with all sorts of chemical compounds to enhance growth. Very often the animals are confined to small cages ranging in size from large multi-acre stockyard for cattle to cages for poultry that allow less than one square foot of space per bird. Being in such crowded conditions, these animals are much more prone to illness and infection, so daily doses of anti-biotics are all a part of their feeding formula. Factory farm meat animals do not lead happy and content lives. What an animal eats becomes the animal.
I won't even get into the things that are added to processed foods. Read the labels yourself.
Think about it . . if you go to the produce section of your grocery store and buy a head of lettuce or a bag of carrots, more of your dollar goes directly to the producer, but if you go buy a can of processed meat product, or canned mixed veggies, very little goes back to the producer. Same deal with a fresh piece of meat and a bag of potatoes vs a frozen diner of meat and potatoes. Every added step in the process of getting the food from the farm to you means more dollars in the pockets of the corporate elite who make the real money in all this mess.
Now consider where your hard earned dollars go when you buy directly from the person who produces your food. It goes directly into that person's pocket. Now that doesn't mean that every dollar a farmer takes in is cash profit. Quite the contrary. Consumer focused farmers make very little real profit off the food they sell to customers. It costs organic producers even more per pound to produce meat animals or crops. We don't use chemical fertilizers and we don't use herbicides to clear our plots. Both of those conditions make for less yield per acre of crops. Our animals are not fed chemically enhanced feeds, causing them to grow slower and thus eat more feed in their lifetime. Compound that with the fact that organic feed is about twice as expensive as commercial feed when bought in small quantities. . . by small quantities I mean a couple tons or less. You see, commercial factory farms buy their feeds at rock bottom prices. When I go to the feed store and buy comparable feeds, they cost me at least twice as much and that is the price that I pay double for organic feed, so buying organic feed for my turkeys costs me at least four times as much as the feed the factory farms feed their birds. . . probably more and my birds eat more in their lifetime than commercially raised birds.
The other nice thing about buying from the small farmer whether he be organic or not is that his animals are probably pasture fed. That means they graze. "What" you say? "The beef I buy in the store doesn't graze?" Sorry folks, but the beef you buy in the store hasn't seen a green pasture in months. Those cows sit in stockyards and fatten up on chemically enhanced grains for many weeks and sometimes many months at a time before they are slaughtered.
Pasture fed farm raised cattle are happy cattle as are similarly raised poultry, sheep and any other animal raised in a natural environment.
So please, think about where your food comes from. After you've done that decide where you WANT your food to come from. If, like many, you decide you want to eat more healthy and have your money go where it is more ethically utilized, find a farmers market or even a local farmer. Contact your state department of agriculture and ask them where farmer's markets are located or where direct farm buying is possible. Take a ride in the country and stop and talk to a farmer or two. Farmers are pretty friendly people who won't be bashful about telling what's what in their neck of the woods.
So take a shot at changing the way you eat. Eat less processed food and more items from the fresh produce and meat section of the supermarket. Find yourself a farmer's market or some farms that sell direct. Eat less fast food, as it's mostly the dregs of the food processing chain. Think healthy.
I'll see y'all down in the barnyard.

Brrrrreaking news. . . some worth noting, some worthless.
Wild elephants converge on Indian island
By WASBIR HUSSAIN
Sat Oct 13, 10:08 AM ET
GAUHATI, India - About 100 wild elephants have converged on a river island in northeast India, demolishing homes, feasting on sugarcane and panicking residents, officials said Saturday.
Thousands of villagers were using firecrackers and bonfires to scare away the rampaging animals.
"Dozens of houses have been destroyed in the past three days by adult elephants entering human settlements to look for their wandering calves," said the local magistrate, L.S. Changsan.
Desperate times call for desperate measures. Normally iin the animal world, when animals feel threatened by human invasion ie: habitat loss, drought, etc., they move farther into the far reaches of their natural environment. Obviously, these animals have reached their breaking point and afterall, they are elephants.
Animal behavioralists are pretty much in agreement that elephants are one of the most intelligent creatures on Earth. They have extraordinary ways of communicatinig over long distances and have memories, well, like elephants. I'll never forget the video I once saw of two elephants who were brought together on an elephant refuge in Texas and went absolutely nuts over each other. The handlers were baffled as to why these eelephants were so immediately attached to one another. After a little research, they found out that they had been together at one point 25 years earlier in a 3rd rate circus. Each had had varied life experiences fill with many other elephants in the 25 years since, but they still immediately recognized each other and fawned over each other. Elephants are incredible, seemingly sentient beings.
So what about these Indian elephants. . . desperate. Let the animals revolt. It's about time. They've put up with genocide and senseless abuse long enough.
Dentist claims breast rubs appropriate
Fri Oct 12, 8:24 PM ET
WOODLAND, Calif. - A dentist accused of fondling the breasts of 27 female patients is trying to keep his dental license by arguing that chest massages are an appropriate procedure in certain cases. Mark Anderson's lawyer says dental journals discuss the need to massage the pectoral muscles to treat a common jaw problem.
Police say Anderson said during recorded phone calls that he routinely massaged patients' chests to treat temporo-mandibular joint disorder, or TMJ, which causes neck and head pain.
You go dude. I'm with this guy. Absolutely true. I think all women should become receptive to chest massage and I'll decide which ones I want to volunteer my services. A good rub down is not complete without a good message of the pecs, abs and other frontal muscles.
I'm known for giving good messages and I'm ready to avail my services.
Embattled Sen. Craig honored in Idaho
By JOHN MILLER, Associated Press Writer
Sun Oct 14, 3:09 AM ET
BOISE, Idaho - Sen. Larry Craig was named Saturday night to the Idaho Hall of Fame, marking the Republican lawmaker's first ceremonial appearance back in his home state since his arrest in an airport bathroom sex sting became public in August.
Craig, 62, seated near the front of the banquet room, received polite applause and a few encouraging hoots when he was introduced.
Yes, the wise fathers of Idaho (no, Larry da ho), have gone and done it. No last minute withdrawls of his nomination, no politically correct and carefully worded statement from the nominating committee putting his induction on hold. Nope, Larry Craig is now a member of the Idaho (Larry da ho?) Hall of Fame.
How honored the other members must feel.
Quixtar sues 30 over Web remarks
Sun Oct 14, 2:15 AM ET
GRAND HAVEN, Mich. - Direct-marketing firm Quixtar Inc., a sister company of Amway Corp., has sued 30 people who anonymously posted what it considers disparaging remarks about Quixtar in blogs and online forums and in YouTube.com videos.
In the lawsuit filed this past week in Ottawa County Circuit Court, Quixtar seeks an injunction and damages of more than $25,000 against the posters, identified only as John Does.
I guess in these time of constitutional negligence and corporate anti-litigation movements, people aren't free to express their opinions.
I hope this bothers bloggers everywhere and people who believe in freedom and the Constitution of the United States.
Just for the record: Quixtar sucks. They are a low life corporation that has no regard for people's personal freedoms. I'll bet they are run by a bunch of unethical scam artists who throw happy parties for little children just so they can get dates.
Man wanted for child rape back in U.S.
BROWNSVILLE, Texas - A fugitive wanted in Tennessee on multiple counts of child rape and exploitation was captured Saturday near Matamoros, Mexico, and jailed in southern Texas.

Obama goes door-to-door in Iowa
By AMY LORENTZEN, Associated Press Writer
Sat Oct 13, 9:35 PM ET
DES MOINES, Iowa - Democrat Barack Obama knocked on doors in the Iowa capital Saturday talking up his opposition to the war in Iraq.
Yo, Barack! Get outta Iowa. You're wasting your time. Aint a damn thing there but a bunch of flat landers who haven't seen anyone who wasn't their relative for many generations. . . oh, but they KNOW YOU AINT their relative. That place is the most white bread, midwest boring, dried up shell of a human environ within the confines of America. Who cares what ANYONE in Iowa thinks?
No sex for 40 mln years? No problem for 1 organism

LONDON (Reuters) - One microscopic organism has thrived despite remaining celibate for tens of millions of years thanks to a neat evolutionary trick, researchers said.
Asexual reproduction has allowed duplicate gene copies of the single-celled creatures -- called bdelloid rotifers -- to become different over time.
This is typical drivel reporting froom the main stream media on science. It is confusing and in many places makes no sense.
Rotifera are NOT single celled organisms.
Many organisms reproduce exclusively asexually and have gotten along fine for millions of years. Mutations through many avenues provides all the genetic diversity required.
Too often, moron writers try to tackle subjects like physics, biology and aerospace without a shred of knowledge on the subject. They interview a couple people over the phone and then come up with stupid confusing bullshit like this.
the horror.
Pumpkin-chucking events popular for fall
By The Associated Press
Mon Oct 8, 3:27 PM ET
What can you do with pumpkins? The list is not all that long. You can make pumpkin pies and breads, carve jack o'lanterns or use them to decorate your front porch.
Or you can send them hurling into the autumn sky at 400 mph with a 30,000-pound cannon.
The World Championship Punkin Chunkin' contest. . . takes place Nov. 2-4 in Bridgeville, Del., about 30 miles from Lewes and 90 miles from Washington. The event began in 1986 and bills itself as the oldest and largest competition of its type. Last year over 50,000 spectators turned out to watch 100 teams compete, organizers said.
Well shit fire! I bin partaking of sport. Ever morning I go out into the well house and get a pumpkin that didn't make it to market for various reasons. I then carry em over toward the barnyard and launch it by hand as hard as I can sos it smashes on the ground and breaks into as many pieces as possible. The turkeys and chickens then pick on the pieces and the seeds all day long until they aint nuthin but a thin skin left.
We got the property, and we got the pumpkins. Maybe next year we'll just have to have the competition. I wonder if those cannons will scare the laying hens and if all them folks would mess up my hay fields?

By Michael Kahn Thu Oct 11, 2:12 PM ET

Workbook excersize for corpo-fascism 101
Bush: Protectionism will cost U.S. jobs
By JENNIFER LOVEN, Associated Press Writer
WASHINGTON - Alarmed by slipping support for free trade even among Republicans, President Bush is arguing that protectionism will cut Americans out of chances for more — and better — jobs.
Bullshit, it will have the opposite effect. This is all about the corpo-fascists who want to be able to more easily have thir goods manufactured overseas by low paid, sometimes slave, labor.
We've lost many millions of decent paying manufacturing jobs since the corpo-fascist revolution of 2000 due to their "free trade" and anti-protectionism" bullshit.
There, see how easy that was?

Corpo-fascism 101
OK, perhaps I haven't made it clear enough and there are some who haven't been paying attentiion to reality. . . and perhaps there are those who don't have a clue as to what reality is even though it seems so obvious to many of us. . . whatever, just consider this:
More money. . .
The corpo-fascist regime currently running our country, and making the democrats look like a bunch of pitiful little school yard puke babies, has but one goal; more money. That's it. They don't care about a whole hell of a lot other than that.
Cheap labor. . .
One of the keys to their successful aquisition of ALL the money is to pay as little as possible in labor costs. Basically, you just want the labor force to subsist and nothing more. A slightly hungry workforce is the optimum condition for manipulating and controlling the workforce.
Motivation . . .
Everything the corpo-fascists do, everythiing you see the current regime fighting for or appearing to be passionate about is about getting more of the money. And remember, the biggest key to their quest is cheap labor, so most of what you see them do is involved with getting cheap or cheaper labor.
More money and cheap labor is the sole motivation of the corpo-fascists.
Now pay attention!

Reality check for America!
Time to do a reality check. The corpo-fascists in charge have gotten us bogged down into an unending war that is costing us hundreds of billions of dollars per year and hundreds of millions of dollars per day to execute. When we look closely at that execution of war it is nothing but one big cluster fuck on top of another. General Ricardo Sanchez, who commanded "coalition forces" in 2003 said about the current situation "There is no question that America is living a nightmare with no end in sight." Nice, huh?
I so did want for my country to never be involved in another Viet Nam style mess, but here we are up to our necks in something worse.
Can you possibly remember what it was like in America during the mid 90s? Contemplate the differences between then and now.
Ok. here we go. I can here the drooling proles now "9/11, 9/11, man, everything changed after 9/11. . . 9/11." fuck you prole. The only thing that changed was that 21 piece of shit Arab upstarts got lucky and the corpo-fascist traitors now had a legitimate sounding rallying point around which to perpetrate their plans and you ignorant proles guzzled down their jizz. They then set about raiding the national treasury and invading Iraq in order to take over the oil fields. . . uh, invasion didn't work out so well, did it. . . (I told you so).
So yea, if we'd have continued on the path we were on in the 90s, things would still be good. There would have been an economic downturn to contend with, but that could have been Moron Monkey Boy Bush the Chimp's legacy. . . "he got us out of recession." Instead, we have the biggest, baddest, most fucked up cluster fuck in the modern history of America. Our economy is a mess (except for those highly invested in the stock market), the Constitution of the United States is in the worse shape it's ever been in, we've gone from budget surplus to the absolute most preposterous record national debt ever and we're bogged down in a "nightmare" of a war in Iraq.
That's reality folks. Were were you in 1999? You voted for Bush? Oh please don't tell me that. . . you fucking moron prole.
Now, let's take a look at what going on today in Washington.
The Bushistas are threatening to veto budget items put forth by the current democrat controlled congress.
After running us into debt beyond our grandchildren's generation on things like war, tax cuts for the rich and corporate welfare programs, while cutting domestic spending programs the corpo-fascist administration is threatening to veto congressional bills that will refund some of those domestic programs. We're talking about things like low-incoome housing, job training, community block grants. . . and oh, did I mention that they have already vetoed the children's health care plan?
It seems to me that it's time for this lilly livered congress to take control of the reigns of government and start making things happen. I've just about had it with the corpo-fascist republicans making demands at this point in the game. It's kinda like you've got the playground bully up against the wall with your forearm across his neck and your other arm is drawn back in a fist and he's telling you that you'd better back off or he's going to kick your ass.
Note to congress: Drop this motherfucker now!
My turkey flock wouldn't put up with such absurd bullshit.

The U.S. government against the Native Americans: 2007
Billions owed Indians debated in court
By MARY CLARE JALONICK, Associated Press Writer Wed Oct 10, 4:41 PM ET
WASHINGTON - The Interior Department is doing all it can to account for billions of dollars owed to Indian landholders, a department official told a federal court Wednesday in legal arguments over the Indians' 11-year-old lawsuit against the government.
The suit claims the government has mismanaged more than $100 billion in oil, gas, timber and other royalties held in trust from their lands dating back to 1887.
When will the injustice against Native Americans stop?
The judge in this case said it best. . . .
"the judge lambasted the Interior Department, writing in a decision that it "is a dinosaur — the morally and culturally oblivious hand-me-down of a disgracefully racist and imperialist government that should have been buried a century ago.""
A "disgracefully racist and imperialist government."
That about sums it up.

Bill Clinton to host Manchin fundraiser on Saturday
By Phil Kabler
Staff writer
In addition to being keynote speaker for state Democrats’ Jefferson-Jackson Day Dinner, former President Bill Clinton will also host a fundraiser for Gov. Joe Manchin’s re-election campaign on Saturday.
OK, a little backgound info on this one. . . JoeBob Manchin is what we around here call a republocrat as are most of the southern democrats in West Virginia. Back in the 1800s they were call "Bourbon Democrats." They pander like drooling lap dogs to the corporate interests. . . mostly the coal maggots (A derogatory term or "coal magnets") like they are their political patrons. . . . hmmmmmm. They work to convince the proletariat that coal is their past present and future. They will drop to their knees and begin making strange sucking sounds whenever a corporate entity begins talking about opening a plant or other facility within the state (which happens at a VERY infrequent rate). Sadly, corporate entities enter the state look around and think, well, this might be a good place and then they encounter the politicians, all of whom think they are the incarnation of Boss Hog.
So Joe Manchin (they changed their name generations ago from Mancini or Mancino or something into something more waspy sounding) is the epitomy of these pseudo dems. He is sort of a West Virginia version of the Moron Monkey Boy Bush the Chimp. Ya see, JoeBob's grandaddy was a store keeper near Farmington, WV. Farmington was the site of the worse mine disaster in the history of WV. Grandpa Joe opened up his store to all the widows and others effected by the disaster and made himself into a ledgend. The Manchins have been riding that ledgend for the past 50 years. JoeBob even inherited the store. Sadly, JoeBob is the one who has taken it the farthest and is also one of the dumbest of them all. . . although, Uncle A. James Manchin was pretty damn stupid. . . Google his name, you won't believe what a moron this guy was.
So here we have Bill Clinton, one of the best presidents of modern times buddying up to Joe Manchin, one of the dumbest and most republicanesque governors of modern times in WV. Go figure.

Some background on Grandpa Fred Thompson
Seems that somehow, as a young lawyer, he became the republican counsel on the Watergate committee hearings. He was kinda like the republican Sam Dash, except that we saw Sam Dash in action and you sir, were no Sam Dash.
Young Fred soon began conspiring with the White House low lifes to discredit witnesses, especially John Dean. Seems the Nixon captains regularly fed him dirt on each of the witnesses. . . . especially John Dean. Of course, the tactics were a dismal failure and young Fed Thompson crawled back under the rock he came out of (only to emerge later as a big ugly Hollywood character actor).
The really funny part of all this is that Nixon repeatedly commented to his aides that "this guy isn't too bright, is he?" Really, it's all on tape.
Let's face it folks, here we have a guy with the brains of Moron Monkey Boy; Bush the Chimp, the phoney shallow Hollywood bullshit personality of Ronald Raygun and the low life bottom feeding ethics of Richard Nixon. I suspect he will be their man and they'll be proud.
I still say my flock of turkeys would make the best president.

White House: Al Qaeda trying to boost efforts in U.S.
By Tabassum Zakaria
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Al Qaeda remains the "most serious and dangerous" terrorism threat and is expected to boost attempts to place agents inside the United States, a new White House report said on Tuesday.
The report, titled "National Strategy for Homeland Security," said al Qaeda has protected its top leadership, replenished operational lieutenants and "regenerated a safe haven" in Pakistan's tribal areas.
White House homeland security adviser Fran Townsend, asked whether al Qaeda infiltration efforts were under way, replied: "There's no question. They're not only under way, they're ongoing and have been."
Be afraid, be VERY afraid. Al Quida wants YOU. . . . dead. . . and they will stop at nothing to make it happen. You AND your pitiful little family are the focus of their evil operations and don't think you can possibly escape. . . unless of course you trust in the mighty right wing republican patriarchal leadership to make sure that you will be safe from these horrid creatures of terrorist mayhem. Trust in them and YOU will be safe. . . provided you remain ever vigilant and alert for any signs that THEY might be creeping around in YOUR community looking for an opportunity to STRIKE and make your life a miserable burning hell. Who are YOU goiing to trust with your security? A bunch of flower eating, baby killing terrorist sympathizing democrats? I didn't think so.
Hey, wait a minute, I thought that if we let them do all that unconstitutional shit they wanted to do with the "Patriot Act" we would be safe? And haven't they been telling us that if we keep going massively into national debt funding this Iraq war that we'll be safe?
So now, after years of unprecedented federal spending, military expansion and invasions and the rolling back of constitutional rights and civil liberties they are telling us we're as vulnerable as ever?
Wassup wit dat?

Kanawha Board of Education considers book ban
Nitro High School pulled ‘Prince of Tides,’ one other Pat Conroy novel
By Davin White
Staff writer
Kanawha school board members Bill Raglin and Pete Thaw argued Monday against teaching two Pat Conroy books at Nitro High School. The books were suspended after some parents complained, prompting a student protest Friday and heated debate on both sides.
“Why would we press the issue and give [students] books like that?” Thaw asked.
During Monday’s special session, Raglin argued with Judy Gillian, who defended teachers’ rights to introduce controversial books in class and the school board’s policy behind suspending the books.
The Conroy novels “Beach Music” and “The Prince of Tides” were suspended from Steve Shamblin’s Advanced Placement literature class at Nitro. At least two parents complained about the books, citing graphic violence and scenes of sexual assault.
Why does my paradise have to be situated in the middle of a state iinhabited by backwoods slack jawed morons? Actually, this is taking place inside the capital city of West Virginia. These aren't some small group of rural ignorant inbred buffoons. This is the school board located within walking distance of the state capital complex.
Pat Conroy, some of the most fetching and relevant literature of the modern american era is being banned from an "Advanced Placement" high school literature class. This is so sickening it requires very little commentary.
I guess that's why I prefer the company of my farm animals.

Bush honors fallen firefighters
AP - Sun Oct 7, 6:53 PM ET
EMMITSBURG, Md. - President Bush on Sunday honored fallen firefighters for their dedication and service to the nation.
Uh huh. Whatever. Don't the mindless proles just love this shit. It's right up there (or way down there) with standing at the WTC site with a bullhorn or sitting in a military mess hall acting like he's just wonna da guys.
Bullshit politics. I don't want to see another politician appearing before fire peoples, soldiers, construction workers, veterans or any other specific group where they can rack up cheap points for dramatic presentation and "patriotism." Fuck these grandstanding POS opportunists. Appear before the people. Go to town squares and shopping malls. Stand on the fucking street like politicians used to do. Show up in neighborhoods without three weeks notice and banners and flags waving everywhere. Just tell us what you think we should do as a country and shove the rest of the bullshit back down your throat. Spare me your cheap grace.
Faith `plays every role' in Obama's life

GREENVILLE, S.C. - White House hopeful Barack Obama stood in front of a pulpit Sunday and told worshippers that his faith "plays every role" in his life.
"It's what keeps me grounded. It's what keeps my eyes set on the greatest of heights," Obama told members of the Redemption World Outreach Center, whose 4,200-seat sanctuary was mostly full.
Awww geez, just shut the fuck up! Does every candidate have to pay hommage to the great sky wizard of Christian mythology? Ya know, if you believe in beings with magic twangers, magic underwear and other mythological poppy cock then I'm just not going to vote for your silly delusional ass.
Edwards raps Clinton over Blackwater tie
AP - Sat Oct 6, 7:08 AM ET
DES MOINES, Iowa - Democrat John Edwards said Friday the top strategist for presidential rival Hillary Rodham Clinton has ties to the controversial Blackwater security firm, and warned against installing "a group of corporate Democrats" to replace the Bush White House.
What candidate is the only one addressing social issues in our country that effect the poor and working class? What candidate is not afraid to lash out at the corporate royalists who are destroying our country and call them what they are? What candidate has a concrete plan for getting us OUT of Iraq expeditiously?
Listen to them. Listen to what they say.
FUCK! Does it have to be the white guy?
Sorry, but if the chick and the black guy want to get my vote they'd better start dealing with the issues I'm really interested in.
US appears guilty of torture: Pelosi
AFP - Sun Oct 7, 4:10 PM ET
WASHINGTON (AFP) - The United States appears to be illegally torturing terror suspects contrary to denials by President George W. Bush, House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Sunday.
Ooooo, I'll be this gets coverage for about two days next week and then that'll be it. . . . but in those two days, there'll be talk of impeachment, investigations, subpoenas and lots of self righteous indignation. Inept morons.
Embattled Idaho senator honored in state
Sun Oct 7, 7:13 AM ET
BOISE, Idaho - Sen. Larry Craig has been chosen for induction into the Idaho Hall of Fame, despite his well-publicized arrest and guilty plea in an airport sex sting, officials said.
WTF?!?!
What can you say about this except; welcome to the Moron. . . oh, I mean, Mormon state. I guess if you can believe in magic underwear you can believe Larry Craig's lies. No problemo. Carry on morons.
Campaign lies. . .fantasies. . . ho hum
I'm sittin here thinking "what do these republican candidates think I am? A dumb slack jawed hillbilly?"
Let's begin this post with this simple and true piece of information:
When Bill Clinton, the democrat, took office in 1992, he inherited a gigantic record deficit that had been accumulated by 12 years of Reagan/Bush republican administrations. His top priority was attacking that deficit and getting the federal budget under control. He assembled the greatest team of American economic scholars ever assembled and went about the task. By the time he left office eight years later, we had had a budget surplus for two years and a surplus was projected all the way into the year 2012. We also saw the greatest economic experience in the history of the United States while Bill Clinton the democrat was in the Oral. . .oh, I mean Oval Office.
Enter George Bush the Moron Monkey Boy administration. . . (I call it an "administration" because everyone with any sense knows that Monkey Boy Bush the Chimp is not really running anything except the midnight snack menu at the White house).
We, now, after seven years of these corpo-fascist pricks in the White House and Congress pillageing the national treasury and raping the American people of all their spare change, have the most incredibly out of control federal budget and exponentially the largest federal debt in the history of The Republic and our real economy (the economy of the working class and middle class) is in shambles.
Enter the current crop of republican presidential candidates:
John McCain:
"[democrats] will tax, spend, regulate and dictate for the benefit of special interests and partisan objectives."
Giuliani:
"Republicans are amateur spenders, and Democrats are professional spenders."
Romney:
"I think she [Clinton, wife of the deficit killer, Bill Clinton] would change America, and we'd go from prosperity to poverty."
So just how fucking stupid are the slack jawed proles? Will they buy into this absurd line of garbage? Will many of them go to the polls clinging to the politics of lies, hate, fear mongering and deceit that makes them feel oh so secure like the lies that daddy used to tell them? We'll see and we'll pay dearly if they do.
Y'all have a good weekend. It's October and I've got a load of pumpkins from my pumpkin patch to sell. If ya see my truck, it'll have a sign on the back that says "Any pumpkin, $4." We're gonna get rich on these things I tell ya.

Blatant lies. . . for gobbling proles
Bush defends US interrogation methods
By JENNIFER LOVEN, Associated Press Writer 4 minutes ago
WASHINGTON - President Bush defended his administration's methods of detaining and questioning terrorism suspects on Friday, saying both are successful and lawful. . . .
"We stick to U.S. law and international obligations," Bush said, without taking questions after a brief picture-taking session.
Speaking emphatically, the president noted that "highly trained professionals" conduct any questioning. "And by the way," he said, "we have gotten information from these high-value detainees that have helped protect you."
You know this motherfucker is lying. He knows he is lying and the scumbags who gave him the bullshit to say know it is all lies.
Where is the public outrage? Where are the youthful protesters? Do the proles REALLY not know that he is a lying POS?
These POS corpo-fascists are treatiing the public like a bunch of little school children and the public is accepting that role. 'We're protectiing you from evil' 'You are a great risk if we don't protect you.'
Fuck all you people who gobble and swallow this bullshit.
'We are taking away your rights because it is in your best interest to have your rights taken away from you. Afterall, you don't really need those rights, now do you? You aren't doing anything illegal that you need protection under those rights, are you?'
Every dumb fuck american prole who goes along with such rhetoric deserves exactly what they are getting. . . fascism and much less freedom. You deserve to have traitors running your country and selling it off to the lowest bidders.
I've got a flock of turkeys down in my barnyard that have more collective intellect than all the American proles who support these scum sucking fascist royalists put together.

Today's World Champion Moron
Jeri Thompson: I'm no trophy wife
Wed Oct 3, 4:27 PM ET
WASHINGTON - Jeri Thompson, wife of GOP presidential candidate Fred Thompson, shakes off the "trophy wife" label critics have tagged her with for being 24 years younger than her husband.
BWAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Riiiight.
Lessee, a drop dead gorgeous woman with a great (big) set of breasts married to a floppy jowled old man 24 years her senior. Now, you want us to believe that you are NOT a "trophy" wife?
Listen up bimbo; just shut the fuck up. You are not going to convince ANYONE. We aint talking about Paul Newman or Robert Redford here. . . this guy is butt ugly. A hot babe wouldn't marry his saggy ass for any reason except the millions he made being a big ugly character actor. Now get along with your silly self, take your two big titties with you and stop talking foolish.
Yea, you and Anne Nichol Smith.

Lawmaker shows nude photo to students
NORWALK, Ohio - A state legislator surprised a high school class when the computer he was using projected a photo of a nude woman during a lecture on how a bill becomes a law.
. . . .
Police interviewed Barrett and school officials and seized the data memory stick and the computer to determine where the image came from, a state highway patrol spokesman said.
. . . .
"I have no idea where these came from," the Democrat said.
Bullshit from the top down. The guy fucked up and projected one of the porn images he keeps on his computer. Big fucking deal. . . quit denying it and making the absurd excuse "I have no idea where they came from."
As for the police getting involved; fuck the fascist bullshit that is going down in this country. Don't you ignorant proles see it? Last week some guy got tazered for being a loud mouthed asshole in front of John Kerry. BTW: Kerry never condemned the thuggery.
People are getting arrested for excersizing their civil rights in this country. Wake up you bunch of sleeping proles. It's soon going to be too late.
Do you know that the Blackwater private security firm was patrolling the streets of New Orleans in their black hummvees, black uniforms and black assault rifles? Think about that image and what it indicates.
In my home state a couple were arrested at a George Bush rally for wearing inoffensive, but opposing tee shirts. Yes, arrested and taken to jail.
Do you realize you can't function in this society without picture ID? You can't open a bank account, fly on an airplane or enter a government building.
Is this acceptable?

Questions on our republic
Senate approves $150B in war funding AP - Tue Oct 2, 4:39 AM ET
WASHINGTON - Thwarted in efforts to bring troops home from Iraq, Senate Democrats helped pass a defense policy bill authorizing another $150 billion for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Senate passes mammoth 648 billion defense bill AFP - Mon Oct 1, 8:06 PM ET
WASHINGTON (AFP) - The US Senate Monday passed a mammoth 648 billion dollar defense policy bill, shorn of attempts by disappointed anti-war Democrats to dictate President George W. Bush's Iraq strategy.
This is like a really bad anxiety dream. A dream where you just can't get where you're goiing no matter how hard you try or what route you take., A dream where you'vbe got expectation for an outcome but no matter what happens next, the goal gets thwarted.
We elected a democrat congress to end this stupid war. The vast amjority of americans want us out of Iraq. This president who is running and pushing this war has the lowest approval rating of any president in decades including Nixon.
WHAT THE FUCK?!?!
Is it possible that these democrats in congress are just a bought and paid for as the corpo-fascist administration and their republican lackeys? Could they be dyed in the wool corpo-fascists too? All indication seem to point in that direction.
Do they have the audacity to believe that they can fund this war because at this point, being a democrat and doing so will be viewed better than being a republican?
I don't know, but I do know that the will of the people is being ignored in a gross and vehement way.
What do you suppose happens in a democracy when the will of the people who elected their representatives is ignored.
What happens when the people have no choices? Will all our choices in Nov. 2008 be between republicans who support the war and democrats who support the war?
How long will the people remain quiet and calm given this senario?
Will the proles simply be lulled into going quietly into the darkness? Will they be so transfixed on their material quests that they simply ignore the fact that the democratic republic has turned into a farse?
What WOULD it take for the American public to rise up and demand that their elected representatives represent them and not the interests of the corporate royalists? How far would the politicians have to go to precipitate such a responce?
How extreme would be such a response? The media is so far quiet and quite obliging to the corporate entities. The public is obviously sleeping.
Is the lion of public opinion even capable of roaring anymore?
I'm going to the barnyard. The critters there have concerns.
