Questions on our republic

Senate approves $150B in war funding AP - Tue Oct 2, 4:39 AM ET
WASHINGTON - Thwarted in efforts to bring troops home from Iraq, Senate Democrats helped pass a defense policy bill authorizing another $150 billion for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Senate passes mammoth 648 billion defense bill AFP - Mon Oct 1, 8:06 PM ET
WASHINGTON (AFP) - The US Senate Monday passed a mammoth 648 billion dollar defense policy bill, shorn of attempts by disappointed anti-war Democrats to dictate President George W. Bush's Iraq strategy.

This is like a really bad anxiety dream. A dream where you just can't get where you're goiing no matter how hard you try or what route you take., A dream where you'vbe got expectation for an outcome but no matter what happens next, the goal gets thwarted.
We elected a democrat congress to end this stupid war. The vast amjority of americans want us out of Iraq. This president who is running and pushing this war has the lowest approval rating of any president in decades including Nixon.
WHAT THE FUCK?!?!

Is it possible that these democrats in congress are just a bought and paid for as the corpo-fascist administration and their republican lackeys? Could they be dyed in the wool corpo-fascists too? All indication seem to point in that direction.
Do they have the audacity to believe that they can fund this war because at this point, being a democrat and doing so will be viewed better than being a republican?

I don't know, but I do know that the will of the people is being ignored in a gross and vehement way.

What do you suppose happens in a democracy when the will of the people who elected their representatives is ignored.

What happens when the people have no choices? Will all our choices in Nov. 2008 be between republicans who support the war and democrats who support the war?

How long will the people remain quiet and calm given this senario?

Will the proles simply be lulled into going quietly into the darkness? Will they be so transfixed on their material quests that they simply ignore the fact that the democratic republic has turned into a farse?

What WOULD it take for the American public to rise up and demand that their elected representatives represent them and not the interests of the corporate royalists? How far would the politicians have to go to precipitate such a responce?

How extreme would be such a response? The media is so far quiet and quite obliging to the corporate entities. The public is obviously sleeping.
Is the lion of public opinion even capable of roaring anymore?

I'm going to the barnyard. The critters there have concerns.

"tequila mockingbird!" I thought I was the only one who thought of that.
I used to "drink ridiculous amounts of booze." Mostly sourmash and mezcal. In the words of Ringo. . . I got tired of waking up on the floor.

With things looking the way they are in this country, I might just go back to it.

I don't know what it's going to take make politicians respond to the people. I thought maybe we got the message through last November, but turns out, not so much.
