Oh look, Puffy McBush has decided to play along

Well hey there Puffy! Welcome to the real world. Who loaded that into your mouth? You sure as hell didn't come up with it yourself while sitting in the back of your wife's LearJet.

McCain says economy in crisis

WASHINGTON - Republican presidential nominee John McCain, who only a week ago said the economy was fundamentally sound, now says the U.S. financial system is facing a major crisis.

Speaking Monday on NBC's "Today" show McCain said, "We are in the most serious crisis since World War II."

Are you dumb fuck proles paying attention to this shit? Are you still going to vote for the moronic white guy just because the guy who has a real plan and has been talking about this economic crisis long before it really happened happens to be 1/2 black?

I can see it now. At the debates, McCain and Palin will attribute this whole economic crisis on the "Clinton Mandate of 1999" or the fact that Jimmy Carter tried to make it easier for poor people to own homes 30 years ago. And the dumb fucks will eat it up!

McCain's trying to blame Dems for this, and the dumb fucks will eat this shit up, but they represent 23% of the population....authoritarians. Fuck them and the bullshit they peddle.

The way to explain this mortgage crisis is exactly the way Dems have been doing it...simply and forcefully. Republicans have been pushing deregulation for decades...it's fucked our airlines, it's fucked energy prices, it's fucked commodities (such as oil), it's fucked the telecommunications industry, and it's fucked the financial industry. All the while the vultures keep their golden parachutes and the Republican's try to grab more unaccountable power.

And guess what's next on the horizon...this $700 billion bailout will tie the hands of the next administration to do anything domestically, will add to the debt, and when that comes to roost, they're coming for your social security and medicare. Its next, believe it.

arrozconpollo: This is what I fear the most. Yeah, from a historic point of view, electing the nation's first black man or woman is cool. But what if you elect a black man or woman into office and they don't have the money to good on all the promises he or she made?

macdaddy, just wanted to clarify that I don't see Obama trying to gut Social Security. His domestic agenda that goes beyond what we already have is what will be affected by the increased debt.

If McCain gets his greedy palms on the Treasury, then that is when we'll see them use the debt excuse to take away the last vestiges of the New Deal. They tried the private account bullshit and no one (rational) would fall for it. But when they really have shrunk government enough to the point where they can drown it in a bathtub, then they will not hesitate to do so.

As an aside, Republicans are fighting furiously to maintain the executive compensation packages for these bailed out companies. The taxpayers are going to be billed $29 billion alone for JP Morgan's buyout of Bear Stearns. Yet the executive compensation this past year for the top 5 Wall St firms was $39 billion. Why should the execs get to keep their golden parachutes after driving the companies in the ground while the taxpayers get stuck with the bill?

It takes the puppet awhile to respond, his strings to Karl Rove are old.

arrozconpollo: I understood that. But where is Obama going to have the money to make good on his promise to help with education, to insure people's healthcare, to repair the infrastructure and so forth?

I think this bailout is going to tie the hands of the next president and bankrupt the next generation.

You're probably right Mac. Between the trillion being spent in Iraq and this, we're pretty much fucked. And look where all that money went/is going. . . right into the pockets of the corporate royalists.
This idiotic bailout will be the last recreant act of an administration that has cleared out our national treasury and funneled it into the pockets of the corporate royalists.
I don't think people who put MoronMOnkeyBoy Bush the Chimp into office really care about this election. they got what they want beyond their wildest dreams. I figure they were only counting on 4 years of MoronMonkeyBoy and a few key legislations along with a few more nice corporate give-aways. They are absolutely giddy right now and know that they've about cleaned out the country.

Yep. And I almost believe this is a strategy or plan used by the rich (Gdub and pals) by way of raping and pillaging our Treasury for their greedy friends while they are in office and when a Democrat finally gets in office, the GOP can then demand "fiscal responsibility" and say, "but wait, there's NO money there for your little education or health care or infrastructure plans...sorry charlie!" It's a fucking racket.

Hey guys, McCain-Palin is the ticket for CHANGE. Didn't ya know that?

As you posted over in my blog, chicken shit racists should think like your friend and vote for the half-white in Obama.

Simply gobsmacking that there are those who might actually vote an underqualified candidate because the qualified one is coloured.

Have you listened to all the arguments in the hearings...the repubs are more worried about saving the Golden Parachutes of their FRIENDS!!! The lobbyists are probably breaking records in taking drugs with all the scurrying around Capitol hill.

hill, I understand the reason for you being gobsmacked, just wondering where you're from that you use that term.

Mom, yup, another piece of legislation that will protect the criminal corporate royalty and at the same time reward them royally for their misdeeds and misappropriations of American's money.

crystalD, just wondering, is the hairdo dangerous for those who get too close?
