"natural" "free range" "organic" = corpo-lies and USDA lies

Mega food producers can pretty much call anything whatever they want and the USDA lets them. How else could they inject chicken with 15% solution of brine and get away with calling it "all natural?"

Chicken producers debate 'natural' label
AP

SAN FRANCISCO – A disagreement among poultry producers about whether chicken injected with salt, water and other ingredients can be promoted as "natural" has prompted federal officials to consider changing labeling guidelines.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture had maintained that if chicken wasn't flavored artificially or preserved with chemicals, it could carry the word "natural" on the package.

But the agency agreed to take another look at its policy after some producers, politicians and health advocates noted that about one-third of chicken sold in the U.S. was injected with additives that could represent up to 15 percent of the meat's weight, doubling or tripling its sodium content. Some argue that could mislead or potentially harm consumers who must limit their salt intake.

The USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service plans to issue new proposed rules this fall.

Perdue, the nation's third largest poultry producer, is among those pushing for a change. The company has joined a group called the Truthful Labeling Coalition, which has hired a lobbyist and launched an advertising campaign.

Read the labels!! Know what is what. A "free range" chicken means that during it's life it had access to bare ground. That's all it means. It doesn't mean it got to wander freely out on the range. It doesn't mean it ever tasted a single blade of grass or chased after a single grasshopper.
"Organic" is another joke. They can feed these birds whatever they want to feed them as long as it's labeled "organic." That means lots of corpo-corn, fish "by products," "crab meal" and many other animal by products. They still get raised three birds to a four square foot cage with barely enough room to turn around. They still have only a total life span of six weeks.
"organic" "all natural" It's a joke. A cruel, misleading pitiful joke.

KNOW WHERE YOUR FOOD COMES FROM!

KNOW WHAT'S IN THE PACKAGE OTHER THAN WHAT THE BIG LETTER ON THE FRONT OF THE PACKAGE SAY!

OK proles, you can go back to sleep. . . not that you ever really woke up

Lay back while they sing you a lullaby accompanied by a fairy tale that will put you right back into the quiet sleep you really want. That mindless intoxicated sleep where reality is totally absent and you don't have to worry about anything because big brother and your big daddy are taking care of everything for you. . . while you sleep. Listen up now.

Signs of oil spill recovery entering new phase
AP
By HARRY R. WEBER and GREG BLUESTEIN, Associated Press Writers Harry R. Weber And Greg Bluestein, Associated Press Writers – 1 hr 26 mins ago

BILOXI, Miss. – BP's new boss says it's time for a "scaleback" in cleaning up the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. Federal officials say there is no way the crude could reach the East Coast. And fishing areas are starting to reopen.

There were several signs Friday that the era of thousands of oil-skimming boats and hazmat-suited beach crews is giving way to long-term efforts to clean up, compensate people for their losses and understand the damage wrought. Local fishermen are doubtful, however, and say oil remains a bigger problem than BP and the federal government are letting on.

More news from the granola chewing sect. . .

I get so tired of these touchy feely, do gooders coming up with their passive positive reward bullshit. These are the same people you see downtown with kids that are running around like banchees not doing anything their parents tell them to do and disturbing the peace of everyone in the surrounding area. Fuck these sherpa hat wearing, granola chewing, uber groovy clueless morons.

Dogs are fucking dogs. They understand domination. That doesn't mean you gotta be mean to them, it simply means that they have to understand that YOU are in charge, not them. . . . exactly the way kids have to understand things.
What's the best way to get a dog to understand that? With an older dog, as soon as they get aggressive toward you, knock em on their ass, and pin them to the ground with your hand firmly around their throat. Get right down in their face, growl like a mad fucking hillbilly dog and dare them to do it again.
I've had and trained four dogs in my adult life. Every one of them has been well behaved. I could take them into a crowd or have them out in the woods and they would do exactly what I wanted them to do. More important, they have been the happiest and most gentle dogs in the world. I've had my dogs in all sorts of situations and they have never once showed any signs of aggression toward any human being. They have been very loyal to me and my children. All were the dogs that everybody comes up to and immediately fall in love with. The biggest of them all was at various times nick named "the feel good dog" and "sunshine" by people who I hung out with.

Dog Training: Animal Experts Debunk the Alpha-Dog Myth
Time.com
By JENINNE LEE-ST. JOHN Jeninne Lee-st. John – Fri Jul 30, 7:20 am ET

Dogs are descended from wolves. Wolves live in hierarchical packs in which the aggressive alpha male rules over everyone else. Therefore, humans need to dominate their pet dogs to get them to behave.

This logic has dominated the canine-rearing conversation for more than five years, thanks mostly to National Geographic's award-winning show, Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan.

"For five years?!" I've been raising dogs for almost 40 yrs and that's the way I've always done it.

But many experts say Millan's philosophy is based on now-debunked animal studies and that some of his techniques - most famously the alpha roll, in which he pins a dog on its back and holds it by the throat - are downright cruel.

"Alpha roll" that's a good name for it. It works well.
Cruel? Awwww, you must be a panty waisted pussy faced granola chewer. How sad. I feel your pitifulness.

Rival trainer Victoria Stilwell has launched a competitive assault on Dog Whisperer by starring on Animal Planet's It's Me or the Dog and by spreading her system of positive-reinforcement training virtually and with troops on the ground: this June she launched a podcast (available on positively.com and iTunes) and franchised her methods to a first batch of 20 dog trainers in the U.S., the U.K., Italy and Greece. She uses positivity as a counterpoint to dominance theory and reserves her aggression for the poorly behaving humans.

Bring on your positively reinforced pitiful excuse for a canine. I'll put my "alpha rolled" dog against it in all categories of what people want in a pet. . . behavior, friendliness, whatever you'd like except that manbsy pansy dog show bullshit.

These are the people who buy expensive doggie pastries and tie bandanas around their dog's necks. Every time I see a dog so humiliated I just want to take the bandana off the poor dog and strangle the dumb fuck brightlighter with it. . . or run them over with their Jeep.

Stay there in your cities. We don't want your barking dogs or your ill-mannered kids polluting our environment.

Fucking republicans. . .

All they care about is tax breaks for the uber rich.
Fuck those small businesses.

Republicans block small business lending bill
AP
By STEPHEN OHLEMACHER, Associated Press Writer Stephen Ohlemacher, Associated Press Writer – 1 hr 51 mins ago

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama's election-year jobs agenda suffered a new setback Thursday when Senate Republicans blocked a bill creating a $30 billion government fund to help open up lending for credit-starved small businesses.

The fund would be available to community banks with less than $10 billion in assets to help them increase lending to small businesses. The bill would combine the fund with about $12 billion in tax breaks aimed at small businesses.

How bad does it have to get before the proles wake-up?

How bad will it have to get before we as a nation say "Enough, we have to start doing things different?" How dirty and polluted do our coastlines need to become? How much wildlife, the natural inhabitants, have to be decimated? How many people displaced? How many lives ruined?

EPA: 1M gallons of oil may be in Mich. river
AP
By TIM MARTIN, Associated Press Writer Tim Martin, Associated Press Writer – 58 mins ago

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – Federal officials now estimate that more than 1 million gallons of oil may have spilled into a major river in southern Michigan, and the governor is sharply criticizing clean-up efforts as "wholly inadequate."

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency released the update Wednesday night, shortly after Gov. Jennifer Granholm lambasted attempts to contain the oil flowing down the Kalamazoo River. She warned of a "tragedy of historic proportions" if the oil reaches Lake Michigan, which is still at least 80 miles downstream from where oil has been seen.

Gulf cleanup will change once oil stops for good
AP
By HARRY WEBER and TAMARA LUSH, Associated Press Writers Harry Weber And Tamara Lush, Associated Press Writers – 16 mins ago

NEW ORLEANS – The government's point man for the Gulf spill met with coastal parish officials Thursday to talk about what's next now that the oil has stopped flowing.
. . .

Plaquemines Parish President Billy Nungesser said as he arrived for the meeting at a downtown New Orleans office building that it's clear the cleanup effort is being scaled back even though oil is still showing up on the coast.

He said his biggest fear is "they are going to start pulling back. They say they are not but already they have canceled catering contracts, they've stopped production of boom at factories."

Nungesser said no BP spill cleanup efforts were going on in Plaquemines on Wednesday, though a parish crew was working.

"We continued to get slammed by the oil," he said. "Once again, instead of having a seat at the table discussing it, they are pulling the rug from under us."

Oil spill 'under control'

CCHR.org
China said an oil spill on the country's north-east coast had been ''successfully controlled'', amid reports that the clean-up could cost millions of dollars.

The spill happened 10 days ago after two pipelines exploded at an oil storage depot in Dalian, a port city in Liaoning province, triggering a blaze that burned for days. About 1500 tonnes of oil poured into the Yellow Sea.

"mighty oil eating microbes and other corpo-fascist lies

Oh, never mind, false alarm, no need to panic, back to your houses. All that nasty old oil is nothing but food for the bacteria and "microbes" that live naturally in the Gulf of Mexico. It'll all be gone soon. Heck, 40% of it has simply "POOF" evaporated into thin air.
And fucking Mickey Mouse is out there making sure of it!
Why oh why does anyone buy into this line of complete bullshit! This is pure crude oil. I've distilled light crude oil and I can assure anyone that 40% of it WILL NOT FUCKING EVAPORATE! Especially when it is mixed in suspension with all the heavies and solids. You can leave a wide open container of crude oil sitting out in the air and a year later 40% of it won't be fucking evaporated. Fucking liars! Dirty fucking liars! Fucking cock sucking liars!
So the billions of gallons of oil in the Gulf is "like a feeding frenzy" for bacteria huh? Well listen up mother fuckers! You can go up to Prince William sound today tomorrow or 50 yrs from now and dig down a few inches into the sand and there, turning your stupid fucking white hands black, will be oil from the Exxon Valdez disaster. Yea, oil from one of the worse oil spills in history 20 yrs ago is still laying on the beach up there in Alaska. Why haven't those bacteria gone into a feeding frenzy and made it all go away?!
Here's a news flash for ya. I don't care what these lying piece of shit corporate pricks and gov't lackey morons are saying. 50, 100, 200 yrs from now the Gulf of Mexico will still be recovering from this horrible disaster. 3 months, 3 yrs from now you dumb fuck proles will have forgotten all about it. The CEO of BP will be collecting his 900K+ yearly severance and life in and along the Gulf of Mexico will never be the same.
So go ahead, swallow this line of propaganda like a $3 back alley whore. It's so much easier than thinking. What the hell, we've got "mighty oil eating microbes" to save the day and make it all go away. And really, that's all you proles really want now, isn't it?

Mighty oil-eating microbes help clean up the Gulf

By JOHN CAREY, environmental writer

Where is all the oil? Nearly two weeks after BP finally capped the biggest oil spill in U.S. history, the oil slicks that once spread across thousands of miles of the Gulf of Mexico have largely disappeared. Nor has much oil washed up on the sandy beaches and marshes along the Louisiana coast. And the small cleanup army in the Gulf has only managed to skim up a tiny fraction of the millions of gallons of oil spilled in the 100 days since the Deepwater Horizon rig went up in flames.

So where did the oil go? "Some of the oil evaporates," explains Edward Bouwer, professor of environmental engineering at Johns Hopkins University. That’s especially true for the more toxic components of oil, which tend to be very volatile, he says. Jeffrey W. Short, a scientist with the environmental group Oceana, told the New York Times that as much as 40 percent of the oil might have evaporated when it reached the surface. High winds from two recent storms may have speeded the evaporation process.

Although there were more than 4,000 boats involved in the skimming operations, those cleanup crews may have only picked up a small percentage of the oil so far. That’s not unusual; in previous oil spills, crews could only scoop up a small amount of oil. "It’s very unusual to get more than 1 or 2 percent," says Cornell University ecologist Richard Howarth, who worked on the Exxon Valdez spill. Skimming operations will continue in the Gulf for several weeks.

Some of the oil has sunk into the sediments on the ocean floor. Researchers say that’s where the spill could do the most damage. But according to a report in Wednesday’s New York Times, "federal scientists [have determined] the oil [is] primarily sitting in the water column and not on the sea floor."

Perhaps the most important cause of the oil’s disappearance, some researchers suspect, is that the oil has been devoured by microbes. The lesson from past spills is that the lion’s share of the cleanup work is done by nature in the form of oil-eating bacteria and fungi. The microbes break down the hydrocarbons in oil to use as fuel to grow and reproduce. A bit of oil in the water is like a feeding frenzy, causing microbial populations to grow exponentially.

Let's talk anthropology. . .

I'm sure my anthropologist son will correct me in some or many ways, but I gotta throw this out. . .
First, the article that spawned this tirade:

Ancient woman suggests diverse migration
AP
By MARK STEVENSON, Associated Press Writer Mark Stevenson, Associated Press Writer – Fri Jul 23, 11:18 pm ET

MEXICO CITY – A scientific reconstruction of one of the oldest sets of human remains found in the Americas appears to support theories that the first people who came to the hemisphere migrated from a broader area than once thought, researchers say.

Mexico's National Institute of Anthropology and History on Thursday released photos of the reconstructed image of a woman who probably lived on Mexico's Caribbean coast 10,000 to 12,000 years ago. She peeks out of the picture as a short, spry-looking woman with slightly graying hair.

Anthropologists had long believed humans migrated to the Americas in a relatively short period from a limited area in northeast Asia across a temporary land corridor that opened across the Bering Strait during an ice age.

But government archaeologist Alejandro Terrazas says the picture has now become more complicated, because the reconstruction more resembles people from southeastern Asian areas like Indonesia.

"History isn't that simple," Terrazas said. "This indicates that the Americas were populated by several migratory movements, not just one or two waves from northern Asia across the Bering Strait."

This whole "facial reconstruction" stuff stinks to me. How definitive can these guys be using muscle attachment points, etc that are over 10,000 yrs old to reconstruct what a person looked like. I'm a man of science, but sometimes I wonder who these guys are trying to kid.

Besides, I've seen Mexicans that looked Asian, Indians (from India) that looked Native American, and hundreds of anomalies like that my whole life, so going by how someone looks is ridiculous.

I truly believe that the Bering Land Bridge theory is only a part of the puzzle. We know there are people in Tierra Del Fuego who have Autralian ancestory. IT's hard to look at ancient Meso American sculpture without wondering about a Mid-east/African connection. There needs to be more definitive DNA studies done before we'll really know anything.

Do you know that there are two groups of Native Americans who speak Athabaskan languages? There are the Athabaskans of Alaska and the Navajo, Commanche and others from the south west. Nobody else speaks Athabaskan. Language patterns tell us a lot. Take a look at the distribution of Nauhuatl from meso America up through the south west and down into So. Amer. People have found many similarities between eastern NA language and northern European.

I had an interesting conversation with a Russian guy when I was in Homer, Alaska a few weeks ago. He told me he had relatives on both sides of the Bering Straits. You see, it's only about 50 miles across with islands in the middle that are 2.5 miles apart (one is Russian, one is American. . . yes, Russia is only 2.5 miles from the US). On a good day, any Eskimo worth his salt can jump in his kayak and be in Russia (or visa versa) by evening. So this Russian guy is telling me how in the 60s his family used to have family reunions every couple years on both coasts. They didn't have passports or check in with customs or any of that shit. They just did it like their ancestors had been doing it for thousands of years. Hmmm, so anthropologists believe that the migration occurred "in a relatively short period."
Who are these anthropologists?! What agenda are they trying to uphold? Who is feeding them dollars and bullshit to get them to continue perpetrating this farse?

End diversity programs?

Maybe it's time to take a close look and reevaluate these things, but how about we let a bunch of African-American and other minority scholars and intellectuals be in on the deciding. Jim Webb just looks like another white guy who thinks he knows best for everyone. . . duh.

Va senator calls for ending diversity programs

By BOB LEWIS, AP Political Writer
RICHMOND, Va. – Virginia Sen. Jim Webb called for ending government-run diversity programs in a newspaper column Friday, saying they have disadvantaged struggling whites and hurt the cause of racial harmony.
Webb wrote an op-ed column in Friday's Wall Street Journal that said a "plethora of government-enforced diversity policies have marginalized many white workers. The time has come to cease the false arguments and allow every American the benefit of a fair chance at the future."
Webb's press secretary, Jessica Smith, said Friday that the senator felt the column speaks for itself and that he would not comment further.
As an author, Webb expressed misgivings about how affirmative action programs have grown beyond their initial intent in two of his books, "Born Fighting" and "A Time to Fight."
Federal diversity programs now primarily benefit new immigrants over whites and even black Americans, their original beneficiaries, wrote Webb, D-Va.
"In an odd historical twist that all Americans see but few can understand, many programs allow recently arrived immigrants to move ahead of similarly situated whites whose families have been in the country for generations," he wrote.

Iroquois lacrosse team ends bid to go to England

By DAVID B. CARUSO, Associated Press Writer David B. Caruso, Associated Press Writer – Sat Jul 17, 6:39 pm ET

NEW YORK – Iroquois lacrosse players who refused to travel on passports issued by the U.S. and Canada because they do not consider themselves citizens of those countries exhausted their last option Saturday for going to the sport's world championship in England.

Leaders of the Iroquois Nationals squad announced Saturday that a last ditch attempt to persuade British officials to recognize their Haudenosaunee passports had failed.

"While we are deeply disappointed we could not bring our talented team to the world championships, there simply was no way we could accede to the recommendation that we accept either American or Canadian passports to travel," the team's chairman, Oren Lyons, said in a statement.

Amurkkkin justice

Ok, we've all heard the controversy over the mosque that according to the right wing extremist teabaggers is going to be built "on ground zero."
First of all it's the "World Trade Center site." Quit calling it "ground zero" as if it were a nuclear explosion of some sort. Totally unnecessary.
But the real fact of the matter is, the mosque is going to be built two blocks away from the World Trade Center site. "Two blocks!" That's a fair distance in NYC.
Are we promoting religious segregation in Amurkkka? Does relegating a religion other than Christianity to second class status suddenly make you patriotic these days in Amurkkka?
I'm getting tired of these anti-American unpatriotic teabaggers defining what is and isn't right in America based upon their own pitiful fears and insecurities.
Read the Constitution of the United States you bunch of slack jawed morons!!!

Palin sparks Twitter fight on mosque
Politico
Maggie Haberman – Sun Jul 18, 9:00 pm ET

Sarah Palin, who waded into a New York political fight by endorsing Ann Marie Buerkle in NY-25, is drifting into a decidedly higher-charged battle: The fray over a planned mosque near Ground Zero.

"Peace-seeking Muslims, pls understand, Ground Zero mosque is UNNECESSARY provocation; it stabs hearts. Pls reject it in interest of healing," she tweeted Sunday. (See the week's best one-liners.)

The building's planners, the American Society for Muslim Advancement and the Cordoba Initiative, have said it's modeled on religious and community centers such as the YMCA, and that the 13-story, $100 million building would also include an arts center, gym and a swimming pool, as well as a mosque. It would be two blocks away from Ground Zero.

I spent two weeks in Alaska last month. It was the most incredible place I have ever been in my life. I realized that those of us in the lower 48 just can't understand what it's like up there without going up there and taking some time to observe and talk to people, consider what it's like during three months of horrendous cold and darkness and things like that. Yes, the folks up there are different. They have a bond with the land and a freedom of spirit that isn't found in too many places I've ever been. OF course the reverse of that is they really are clueless about what goes on down here. Diversity, the reality of political issues, a lot of modern trends and conditions are not pinned to the outside of their social fabric.
The thing that I now understand is that Sarah Palin simply reflects that condition. Now don't get me wrong, I met a lot of Alaskans who were absolutely charming, warm, progressive and had the ability to think outside their own cloistered little world. Palin is sort of a caricature of what I'm talking about. She embodies the short comings of that world.
Like I said, Alaska was the most amazing place with some of the most amazing people I've ever been to. Every place has it's short comings and I'm just saying that Sarah Palin is a product of Alaska's short comings.

America the Beautiful (and its own third world absurdities)
Efforts to crack down on lead paint thwarted by China, Bush Administration
By Kevin G. Hall | McClatchy Newspapers
Posted on Tuesday, August 21, 2007

WASHINGTON — The Bush administration and China have both undermined efforts to tighten rules designed to ensure that lead paint isn't used in toys, bibs, jewelry and other children’s products. . .
The Bush administration has hindered regulation on two fronts. . . to press for greater inspections of imported children’s products, and it altered the focus of the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), moving it from aggressive protection of consumers to a more manufacturer-friendly approach.

Who are the people in this country who would vote for this republican neo-con corpo-fascist pack of dogs?

U.S. poverty rate declines significantly
By STEPHEN OHLEMACHER, Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON - The nation's poverty rate dropped last year, the first significant decline since President Bush took office.
The Census Bureau reported Tuesday that 36.5 million Americans, or 12.3 percent — were living in poverty last year. That's down from 12.6 percent in 2005.

Wow, 0.3% decline. I wonder what manipulative number crunching led to that figure. These numbers are all put out by the government.

Let’s put these numbers into perspective. . . “12%” doesn’t sound like much, does it? Well, that’s more than one person of every ten in the United States of America is living in poverty.

In 2006, the poverty rate for those under the age of 18 was 21.9%. That means more than one of every five children lived in poverty. That is the highest figure for children living in poverty in the developed world. The rate for African-American children was far higher and closer to 40% which translates into more than one of every three black children living in poverty. How does that make you feel about your country all you flag waving, uber patriotic, twisted nationalist slack jawed morons?

How about this figure: The infant mortality rate in the United States of America is about 6.5 deaths per 1,000 births. That means, for every 1,000 children are born in this country, 6.5 die in the process. That’s by far the worse infant mortality rate in the developed world. Every single western nation has a better record than that. Japan is 2.8, Spain is 4.3, Canada, 4.6 Portugal, 4.9. With all our technology and billions of dollars spent on wars and corporate welfare, more babies die at birth here than in any developed country in the world. WTF?

Shall we talk about health care? 45 million Americans don’t have any health insurance. They depend upon free clinics and emergency rooms that bill them later ruining their credit and future earnings. That’s about one of every six Americans without insurance. The amazing thing is that these numbers are getting bigger because the federal government is covering less people because they are cutting the edges off coverage. . . they’ve gotta fund the illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq somehow. . . while employers, and we’re not talking mom and pop shops here, are cutting coverage for their employers.
Guess what, it’s not like that in other developed countries. They HAVE universal health care.
Meanwhile, insurance companies are fighting every claim they receive in the hopes that you, the covered ones, will give up and pay it yourself. Let’s face it, insurance company policy makers have become the low life scum suckers of this society. These folks have become monsters making record profits while cutting payouts. . . and we thought the sludge sucking oil company execs were bad. . . these guys are directly taking big fat chunks of change out of YOUR pocket. Hey, you paid the premiums for all these years and now, you’ve STILL got to pay the bills. WTF?
Next time you get a bill that your insurance company refuses to pay, fight them on it. Fight them tooth and nail. Send them copies of your bills, call them every day about it. EVERYONE needs to do that and not roll over for these recreant pieces of shit who want to screw you and your children.

What have we covered here? Consumer protection, infant mortality, poverty and health care and they all pretty much suck in this country compared to other countries.

Yea, “America, love it or leave it.” I happen to love it here. Wide open spaces, still certain freedoms not available in a lot of other places and I can afford to enjoy those things, but next time somebody tells you, “this is the greatest country in the whole wide world,” laugh at them. They’re stupid and willfully ignorant. It’s not really, by many standards of human existence. In fact, it sucks here for a lot of people. . . a lot of poor, uneducated, uninsured people.

So fuck all you flag waving nationalist bullshiters. Stick your patriotic cheerleading pom-poms sideways up your proletariat ass. When you get off your ass and begin demanding that your politicians do something about poverty and healthcare instead of worrying about non-issues like “gun control” and “abortion” (WTF is the matter with you simpletons?!?!) then I’ll listen to your simplistic propaganda bullshit, until then, fuck you mother fucking right wing bozos.

The vileness of extremism

This is the kind of vile hatefilled rhetoric that infests our political process today.
This is representative of the extremist anger and horrible fear that so many of the proletariat class have been infused with.
I grew up at a time when Hitler was the ultimate evil. My parents had just finished fighting WWII and Hitler was not just representative, but the actual manifestation of everything bad about human nature. They would NEVER have dreamed that someone would compare ANY American president with Hitler, especially one struggling with the enormous problems we have today in this country. On the contrary, they would have expected ALL Americans to stand behind any president that was trying to do the best he could to fix our nation.
This is so sad. Every patriotic American should be appalled at this horrendous display.

DES MOINES, Iowa – A billboard created by an Iowa tea party group that compares President Barack Obama to Adolf Hitler and Vladimir Lenin is drawing sharp criticism — even from fellow tea party activists who have condemned it as offensive and a waste of money.

The North Iowa Tea Party began displaying the billboard in downtown Mason City last week. The sign shows large photographs of Obama, Nazi leader Hitler and communist leader Lenin beneath the labels "Democrat Socialism," "National Socialism," and "Marxist Socialism."

Half of Americans are dumb fucks

Half of Americans oppose Obama's immigration lawsuit: poll
AFP

WASHINGTON (AFP) – Half of Americans reject President Barack Obama's lawsuit against Arizona's controversial immigration law, with only a third supporting the move, according to a Gallup poll released Friday.

Well, I don't know who AFP is, but I beleive their poll. Let me give you MY translation: half of all Americans have been brain washed into being xenophobic pawns of the right wing.
This doesn't surprise me, afterall, 1/2 of all American voters were dumb enough to vote for MoronMonkeyBoy Bush the Chimp.
We are a citizenry that is twisted and turned in any direction the corporate funded mass media wants it to be turned. We buy into the "threat of terrorism" we buy into the fantasy that hoards of invading brown people from the south are going to take over our country. Hell, the tea baggers buy into the idea that Obama represents the African American take-over of the government.
So the threat of fair and balanced immigration policy is certainly high on the minds of the moronic proles.
Of course, when they want to hire cheap labor to clean their pool, weed the garden, clean the house, drywall the rec room, pick their fruit, etc., etc. It's ok to hire those nice Mexican boys.
No wonder there are a lot of people in the world who hate American white people.

USDA Lies

Will the US Gov't tell blatant lies to your face that might have a negative effect on your health?
Is the US Gov't an integral part of the corporate power structure in the United States?

YES! To both questions.
Below is an article on USDA declarations that are notrhing but lying bullshit. YES, your gov't lies to you. I have proof in my barnyard and kitchen.

Why would they lie? Because according to this article, the commercial egg business is bigger that GM in this country. If people thought that commercial factory eggs were anything but as perfect on the inside as they are made to look on the outside, they might begin losing business.

Organic Eggs: More Expensive, But No Healthier
Time.com
By JEFFREY KLUGER Jeffrey Kluger – Thu Jul 8, 3:30 am ET

Most of the time, according to a just-released study by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), the eggs are indistinguishable. When there is a difference, it's often the factory eggs that are safer.

What total barnyard shit! Eggs from my chickens are clearly distinquishable from factory eggs on a number of counts. When you crack one open you immediately see the difference. The yolk is a deep rich orange color. If you scramble up a bunch, you will be amazed at how orange they look. I have a mixed flock of different kinds and different generations of chickens. They are all like that as a result of how they eat and live.

The white of an egg is where all of its protein is found; it's made of both thin albumen - the watery fluid that runs farthest from the yolk when the egg is cracked into a cold pan - and the thick albumen, the more-viscous fluid that stays closer to the middle. The greater the amount of thick albumen, the more nutritious the egg.

All the same? Another ridiculous lie. When you crack a fresh egg open like the ones from my barnyard, the albumen all stays in one spot. I'm amazed when I deal with factory eggs at how they run all over the pan. It is a plain out right lie to say fresh organic free range pasture fed eggs are no better than factory eggs even if you're grading them on the albumen consistency.

Surprisingly, the USDA has not devoted a great deal of study to the antibiotic question, mostly because the drugs are used sparingly in the egg-laying industry -

Lies, damn lies and fucking lies. Factory chickens live in cages 4 sq. feet in size with three chickens per cage. They hardly have room to turn around. The cages are stacked high on top of each other in massive warehouse conditions. It is impossible to keep those birds healthy without daily doses of antibiotics. They are as susceptible to infection as any beef in a fattening pen. Maybe the USDA needs to beef up their antibiotic testing program. They're missing something.

My chickens eat a mixture of barley, oats, wheat and soy. They also have complete and total freedom to come and go wherever and whenever they choose. They forage in many acres of pasture and hay fields eating insects, reptiles and lots of green stuff.
Factory birds eat nothing but a green mash that is full of supplements, antibiotic, various protein sources (animal by-products) and mostly factory raised corn.
You tell me, do you think there is a difference?

"But what about "organic, free range eggs" I buy in the store" you might ask.
Here's where the USDA enters the picture again. To be classified "free range," a bird only needs "access" to any bit of bare ground at some point in the day. Really, that is "free range" according to USDA standards. "Organic" simply means that whatever it's being fed is grown with no artificial chemicals, growth enhancers, or drugs. So what is their diet? It's a mash just like other birds that only contains "organically" grown ingredients. Granted, it's better than the standard mash, but not by much, it's still mostly corn and soy extract.

My birds eat whole grain with no corn, run freely wherever they want on a big farm and I can visibly show you how different (and according to USDA standards healtier) my eggs are.

So, is the USDA a bunch of liars? You decide.
But as an aside, I've tried to deal with the USDA for years. They are a high cost presence in our farming community. I have gotten nothing from them. ZERO.
They cater to cattle farmers who play their silly game and apply antiquated environmentally poor and nutritionally questionable methods to their farms.
I've been told to my face, 'no cattle, no support from us. . . might as well rip up your application.'
So much for the gov't trying to help out the struggling family farmer. Might as well sell it all off for condos and let the factory farms have it all. That's what the USDA wants. They are fucking liars.

immigration, border protection, TSA assholes, homeland securtity etc.

It's all a farse.

Immigration. . . If there are no jobs available, all those folks from MExico would NOT be coming here. If Americans wanted the jobs they are filling, they would be filled by Americans. Better look a little closed when you say they come here just to get free medical and welfare. Nope, they're coming here to feed their families. It's the Amercians who don't want to work for minimum wage who are using the system. And who can blame them? With the cost of living, why work your ass off for a minimum wage job?
So, corporate agriculture depends upon cheap immigrant/illegal labor. Corporate agriculture is a big part of the corpo-fascist complex. So why are they brain washing the proles into being all militant about immigrants from south of the border (we'll get to those fucking Canadians next)? Well, they don't want to have to offer agijobs for minimum wage or above do they?

TSA . . . we got to our hotel room last week and my wife was going through her luggage (it was all carry-on) and discivered that there was a pack of scalpel blades in one of her little purses she carrys, oh hell, whatever those thousands of thing women carry. Yes, a packet of scalpel blades. . . made for slicing flesh better than box cutters or pocket knives or nail clippers. How many billions of dollars does that prove were a total waste of federal tax dollars?
Going through airport security is ridiculous. You've got a bunch of dip shit cop wannebes who couldn't pass a GED, treating every American who flies like a criminal.

Border "security". . . I found out recently that the borders between European counties are pretty much open. There's a line drawn on roads where it crosses, but that's about it? How do they keep out the terrorists? Why isn't their infrastructure in shambles from terrorist attacks? Do you know that there are thousands of miles of border across the great white north where anyone can just stroll back and forth at will? Do you know that people have been crossing the Bering Straits for thousands of years visiting relatives, hunting, fishing, etc.? I talked to a Russian dude in Homer Alaska who told me he has family on both sides of the straits and when he was a kid they would all get together every few years. He told me that on any decent day you could hop in a boat and be in Russia in a few hours from Nome, AK. No big deal, his people have been doing it forever. Ditto the southern border. The native people of MesoAmerica have been living without a borders for thousands of years. Now all of a sudden they have to be on one side or the other.

Be afraid folks, be VERY afraid.

Self evident truths. . .

"Capitalism is the extraordinary belief that the nastiest of men, for the nastiest of reasons, will somehow work for the benefit of us all." -John Maynard Keynes "
